Over on Bridgford Bus 9, more old school Optare Solo action was on the cards again and it was another day at the office for 237 right here! It seems like these buses prefer Bridgford Bus to any other route right now! When will I ever see something that isn't an old school Optare Solo I wonder? I don't know right now but who knows, so I guess I'll just have to wait and see! 237 is seen here about to pick me up from Angel Row bus stop while working a 9 to Wilford Hill whilst deputising for the 11 plate branded Optare Solo SR of 330, which was at least not on Bridgford Bus daytime services today.

Although a full day on 6's looked likely to be on the cards for this silver spare bio-gas ADL Enviro 400 CBG City, it suddenly lost its bio-gas power after a breakdown. I guess a replacement spare of these types must have been called then! 428 is seen here slowly arriving at the bus stop on Angel Row with what would have been a 6 to Edwalton but is actually a 6 terminating here due to the problem with it.

Since the bio-gas introduction to green 6, green 10, lilac 24/25 and red 44, the bio-gas spares now mostly get allocated to those routes when needs be. Green 10 does tend to have a bio-gas spare on its route as I think it does tend to be required to operate with the branded variants. Today's ADL Enviro 400 CBG City spare on the 10 came in the form of 430, seen here arriving at the bus stop on Angel Road with a service for Ruddington.

As I got of this Y reg plate Old Optare Solo on Bridgford Bus 9, the evening sky really started to kick in, so the sign of daylight was to be heading out of sight. 237 is seen here just after dropping me off at Kingston Road bus stop on Musters Road while on a 9 to Wilford Hill, the bus headed for a right turn onto Eton Road.

While I was on the 5 with this Y reg plate Old Optare Solo, this bus on the 5 and counterpart 237 on the 9 were on a Bridgford Bus chase one after another and at one point, we overtook the 9 at Victoria Embankment after the bus on there stopped but then we stopped at Lammas Gardens, allowing for the bus on the 9 to overtake again and the end result was this bus being behind the 9 on its journey toward Nottingham. It was so close that I even thought we were going to finish ahead and we might have done if we hadn't stopped again but oh well! 238 is seen here just after dropping me off at Fletcher Gate bus stop while on a 5 service.

Out of the two buses on the 9 and the 5, I chose to go on the 5 first for this one for my trip to college. 238 is seen here about to pick me up from Valley Road bus stop on Melton Road while working a 5 to City Loop.

The Pink Panther is here for one last time as the pink bus is seen here again. In fact, this GO2 Uni 31 Pink Line Optare Solo SR was my chariot home from Nottingham Station today. After all, I had my eye on it and I succeeded in finding it as it turned up. 351 is seen here on Carrington Street about to pick me up from Nottingham Station bus stop while on a Bridgford Bus 9 service to Wilford Hill. In the end, University was on at the time, but this bus was let off of its usual route to do something different for a change. I think this bus may have actually been on 9's from start to finish.
