Now then, the other Y reg plate Old Optare Solo in the form of 237 was also out on green line routes and today saw it on green 11, as here illustrates albeit with a blank display in this shot, the display which was actually working at the time, just the slightly tricky shot on that note here! 237 is seen here on Lower Parliament Street with an 11 to Lady Bay, the bus itself having just departed from the bus stop outside Victoria Centre.

In the end, there were two out of three green spare ADL Enviro 200 buses on Bridgford Bus today in the form of 376 on the 9 and 377 on the 5 and it could have perhaps been a full house of the green spare bunch on there if this Y reg plate Old Optare Solo wasn't allocated! At the end of the day though, I guess NCT thought differently and decided to put this bus on Bridgford Bus 5! It's a case of like it or lump it here I think. At the end of the day though, I'll give it as a like despite the fact that 375, the other green spare ADL Enviro 200 wasn't allocated to Bridgford Bus! After all, it's nice to see something new and something old on the 5 in one day! 238 is seen here on Melton Road with a 5 to Gamston, the bus just after dropping me off at Exeter Road bus stop.

I have to say that the 5 was a good place for spare buses today with two different types, an ADL Enviro 200 type and an Old Optare Solo type! 238, the Old Optare Solo type, is seen here on Collin St with a 5 heading for Victoria Centre, the bus just after dropping me off at the bus stop. In the end, my mum continued forward to Victoria Centre on this bus.

Over on Bridgford Bus 5 today, not one, but two green spare buses were in use on there and this green spare ADL Enviro 200 caught my eye as I was on the Old Optare Solo spare with my mum! 377 is seen here at the end of Central Avenue in West Bridgford in preparation for a right turn at the mini roundabout onto Tudor Square with a 5 to Gamston.

A chance find on the L9 today was this Medilink Optare Solo. 990 is seen here heading from Lower Parliament Street onto Lower Parliament Street with an L9 to Bestwood Park. Before the Centrelink handover to Nottingham Community Transport with BYD's, this bus was fomerly a Trent Barton Centrelink bus, with the fleet number being 996.

Looks like this Bridgford Bus branded Optare Solo SR prefered to spend the day on brown's rather than Bridgford's! Branded buses from different routes often escape to other routes from their usual ones while most stick to where they should be! 356 was one such bus that didn't from today though, seen here turning off of Upper Parliament Street with a 15 to Rise Park.

such oddity that occured was a pink 31 branded
Optare Solo SR on pink 30! A pink bus on the
wrong pink route if you ask me! 351 is unusually

East Midlands Trains HST (28.02.2018)
While I was on the Bridgford Bus 5 this morning, I noticed an East Midlands Trains HST set with the Virgin Trains East Coast buffet car, so I decided after coming back home on the 5 to join Railcam, a website where you can watch trains either at home wherever you happen to be. In this video here 43047? and 43081? are seen here passing just outside of Bedford working 1B58 from Nottingham to London St Pancras International, the train also kicking off a bit of snow as it passes!

With one green 11 branded Optare Solo SR still off the road and another on Bridgford Bus 9 today, the 11 had two green spare buses on today and a nice upgrade to one of them with this ADL Enviro 200 right here! 376 is seen in the snow on Carrington Street with an 11 to Lady Bay.

What a brilliant couple of finds on Bridgford Bus 9 from today with the green 11 branded Optare Solo SR of 332 and this Y reg plate Old Optare Solo! I even got luck when I decided to go for Bridgford Bus 9 for my ride into college this morning when this green 11 branded Optare Solo SR was continuing onward with its runs, so I hopped on it for what was actually a snowy ride in the bitterly cold weather! 332 is seen here about to pick me up from a snowy Rushcliffe Leisure Centre before quickly setting off on a new journey on the 9 to City Loop.
