Trent Barton 728 (30.12.2021)

Perhaps the spare bus allocations can be put aside on The Keyworth as today saw the sight of one of their Volvos with an erroneous display ! 728 heads down Melton Road with The Keyworth to Nottingham, not The Cotgrave to Nottingham as advertised! What could have been actually were the Volvos of 732, 733 and 734 still in use on The Cotgrave! Too bad they're now history on there then and actually a Bridgford Bus MMC was displaying the 6 when on the 5 as well today, so this bus wasn't the only one to have an incorrect display!

Trent Barton 145 (30.12.2021)

No Mango branding on this MMC? Too bad probably after the Solo SR of 506 with its Mango branding was on this route as well! Well that's gone down well then (not!), 109 being on Mainline and 110 and 216 being on The Calverton didn't help and how one of them wasn't on The Keyworth I'll never know! A tick in the book as always mind sees 145 descend Melton Road on The Keyworth to Nottingham.

A couple of spares were in use on The Keyworth today, both of which needed documenting!

506, a red spare Mango Optare Solo SR, heads on Melton Road with The Keyworth to Keyworth.

The other spare on the Skylink Express route from today came in the form of this red Volvo, as illustrated here. 744 with the newer Mango branding on it is seen on London Road with a Skylink Express to Nottingham.

Well it really has gone well with it only being used on there of late! I suppose it'll end up elsewhere again one day but too bad it's seemingly hit the skyway all day every day (almost!) of late!

301 branded up for the Bridgford Bus network is seen in Trent Bridge depot whilst presumably having an off day from its usual haunts.

With Saturday service levels imminent from 10th January 2022 due to a shortage of available drivers, spares of any bus type on this route may temporarily become more uncommon, let alone an ADL Enviro 200! 377 in the new style spare livery is seen in Central Avenue, West Bridgford with a 9 to Wilford Hill.

Nottingham City Transport 309 (30.12.2021)

The short MMC spare was out on the Bridgford Bus 7 route again today albeit mundanely like before although it's usually a required spare working for my book as per the norm mind and here we see the bus, 309 to be exact, work a 7 to Gamston as it prepares to stop in Central Avenue, West Bridgford.

Not seen the allover advertising Scania N230UD ADL Enviro 400 spare on the Bridgford Bus 6 route during a Saturday service level in a while, so I was pleased to see this on the route today even if the bus didn't have the new style spare livery and yes they should have put the fellow new style spare variant of 630 on the Bridgford Bus 6 route and this one on the green 10 route but they obviously didn't! The posts above may explain why I thought that but for now here's this one, 603 to be exact, it seen in Central Avenue, West Bridgford with a 6 to City Loop.

Spares aplenty were on Bridgford's today and all were from the Enviro range of vehicles in their fleet! 430, a silver spare bio-gas Scania N280UD ADL Enviro 400 CBG City, is seen in Central Avenue, West Bridgford with a 6 to City Loop.

One of NCT's former Orange Enviro 400's was out on the green 10 route today and I got lucky with the traffic here too to get a decent documentation of it! 630 is seen on London Road with a 10 to Ruddington.

Nottingham City Transport 427 'HMS Sherwood' (30.12.2021)

A bio-gas spare on the green 10 route caught me unawares on the bus app and so, as mundane as the working was, I went out to catch up with it. 427 is seen on Loughborough Road with a 10 to Ruddington. Not too sure which bus this replaced but 630, a new style spare ADL Enviro 400, had certainly been out on the route! Either way though, this bus was involved in a later on appearance on here.

Nottingham City Transport 309 (29.12.2021)

With a Saturday level of service in operation on NCT today and with a spare having been required for use on Bridgford's, today saw the 7 get it on this occasion as what is supposed to be per the norm for a Saturday service and 309, the short wheelbase spare MMC, saw use on the route, it now seen on Davies Road with a service to Gamston.

Stange seeing me with snaps of two bio-gas spares on the 10 and one OmniDekka on the 6 but I was due a named OmniDekka on this route anyway after a while, so a tick in the book of sorts here! 918 heads on Bridgford Road with a 6 to City Loop.

It's been a while since one of the named OmniDekkas appeared on the 6 but today saw there be some room for Les Roome on the route, as illustrated here. 918 is seen turning left onto Bridgford Road with a 6 to Edwalton.

Complete with dirt on the side most likely from the exhaust, 429, a 17 plate bio-gas spare, is seen on Loughborough Road with a green 10 service to Ruddington.

Probably as if it was the Red Arrow from Leicester instead of Derby... just about as 725, a red spare Volvo B7RLE Wright-Eclipse Urban, is seen on the approach to Trent Bridge with a Skylink Express service from East Midlands Airport in Leicestershire all the way to Nottingham Friar Lane in Nottinghamshire.
