Trent Barton 744 (28.08.2021)

The Mainline route has often had some variety of late with the odd red spare dropping in and today was no exception when one of the Volvos made an appearance on there, as illustrated here. 744, originally branded for The Two before becoming a red spare, is seen in Central Avenue, West Bridgford with a fast Mainline to Bingham.

Trent Barton 217 (28.08.2021)

The Mainline route commonly tends to get the MMC's when a spare is required and sometimes the 18 plates can be found dropping in on the route just like one did today! 217 is seen in Central Avenue, West Bridgford with a fast Mainline to Bingham.

Trent Barton 214 (28.08.2021)

A chance encounter late on in the evening was that of an Indigo branded MMC on The Keyworth! 214 unusually heads on Melton Road with The Keyworth to Nottingham. This bus effectively took over from 731, a Keyworth branded Volvo, to work the route after earlier having been on its own route of the Indigo.

CT4N 1014 (27.08.2021)

An interesting day on the 33 saw one booked bus swap and two other bus swaps, with the Optare Tempo of 1002 coming off the 23 to take over from the Optare Solo of 1009 as booked before later being swapped for the Optare Solo of 926, the bus of which had been on the 22/23 and the 18 before that, and this Optare Tempo taking over from the Optare Solo of 1009 before later being swapped for the Optare Solo of 924, the bus of which had been out on the 19 beforehand. 1014 is seen in Central Avenue, West Bridgford with a 33 to Cropwell Bishop.

CT4N 929 (27.08.2021)

Still in debranded Locallink livery, 929, an Optare Solo, turns right off of Loughborough Road onto Eton Road as it resumes course back on route with a 23 to Gamston.

CT4N 926 (27.08.2021)

Still old but something a bit more normal this time as 926, an Optare Solo, is seen on Rectory Road with a 23 to Clifton.

CT4N 1016 (27.08.2021)

Normally found on the L73/L74/L75, CT4N's super dinky Solo SL, seemingly shrunk in the wash, had an away day from its usual haunts in favor of the 22/23 of all things! 1016, previously with Sheffield Transport and formerly named Lizzie Ward, in the new CT4N livery with the one piece door is unusually seen in Central Avenue, West Bridgford with a 22 to Ruddington then Clifton.

Trent Barton 217 (23.08.2021)

So we had three six cylinder MMC's and two four cylinder MMC's as seen on this route! I suppose it can be rare to see all of the MMC spares on the Mainline route in one day but that was what happened before 216 came off the route as all five were to be seen on there, this being one of them! 217 is seen on Radcliffe Road with a Mainline to Nottingham. In the end, this bus was forced off the route temporarily presumably due to a bus problem more likely than not before coming back on for its last two scheduled runs in the evening.

Trent Barton 216 (23.08.2021)

Before its move to the Skylink Express route, this mango MMC had a morning on the Mainline route and I was just about lucky to catch up with this before it came off! 216 heads on Davies Road with a Mainline to Nottingham.

Trent Barton 145 (23.08.2021)

Good to see at least some of this section of Radcliffe Road being used by Trent Barton since the respective withdrawals of Rushcliffe Lines, Xprss and Rushcliffe Greens!

145, an ADL Enviro 200 MMC in the Mango spare livery with Trent Barton names on it, is seen having just crossed the Grantham Canal on Radcliffe Road with a Mainline to Nottingham.

Trent Barton 110 (23.08.2021)

The A6011 Radcliffe Road can be one of the more interesting roads to photograph Trent Barton buses on as only a handful of it is used in both directions. For the services away from Nottingham, the buses turn left off Davies Road onto Abbey Road and then right onto Radcliffe Road while for the services to Nottingham, the buses go straight for a left turn onto Davies Road to reach Central Avenue. 110, a Mango spare MMC, is seen on Radcliffe Road as it prepares for its left turn onto Davies Road with a Mainline to Nottingham.

Trent Barton 109 (23.08.2021)

All five of the Manvers Street based MMC's were on Mainline at one point today, all of which needed documenting just for the occasion! 109 is seen on Davies Road with a Mainline to Nottingham.

Trent Barton 113 (23.08.2021)

216, a Mango spare ADL Enviro 200 MMC, had been out on the Mainline route today but the branded MMC of 113 was available for service and so the buses were swapped, 216 evantually moving to the Skylink Nottingham route to replace one of their branded MMC's in the form of 122. 113 is seen in Central Avenue, West Bridgford as it works what is left in the day on Mainline services to and from Bingham.

Friday 20 August 2021

Nottingham City Transport 631 (20.08.2021)

A fair few albeit not too many of the diesel powered spares were on usually bio-gas operated routes but 631 was one such that was though, the bus seen on the usually bio-gas operated green 10 as it heads on Meadows Way with a service to Ruddington.
Nottingham City Transport 476 (20.08.2021)

A nice find on the Bridgford Bus 6 route from today was that of a 19 plate bio-gas spare! 476 is seen having just entered West Bridgford on a 6 to Edwalton, its last run of the day at this point.
