Not sure on the date I saw this bus but it was before it went to go coach hire in Kent.
While on the 6, I noticed that NCT's only green spare Optare Solo Slimline did a morning on 8's, after which I think it did a whole day on 9's. 147 is seen here on Carrington Street with a morning 8 to City Loop.
All of the sky blue line Optare Solo Simline buses, along with this spare one, are already with go coach hire in Kent.
Also worth noting is as the now gone Locallink Old Optare Solos, along with the Y reg plate Optare Solos still with NCT, were being modernised and repainted, they were fitted with LED indicators like the one on this bus. The LED indicators replaced the roller blind destination displays. All of the Optare Solo Slimline buses already had LED indicators when they entered service in 2013 after being transferred from Courtney coaches.
