I have chosen to put four photos of the route 9 today in at once here rather than separately because of how the route panned out today and it panned out rather differently. Although there was a branded bus off the road today, Bridgford Bus Optare Solo SR 358 did something different by operating alongside green spare Optare Solo SR 352 for the morning before coming off the 9, then back on again to replace that bus, which then meant that green spare Scania OmniTown was on the 9 alongside it for the afternoon. Usuallly, a spare operates all day when a branded bus is off the road, which there was today but NCT not playing it simple today. To me, it seems as if NCT were taking a bit of a gamble with the unusual move but there you go.
