Well I said the 156/158 combos were on the Liverpool services today, so how about another one to the additions? Well in these two shots of the same service, we have what I would say is an interesting combination involving former South West Trains (now East Midlands Trains) DMU sprinter 158889 in its new East Midlands Trains colours with white background and East Midlands Trains super sprinter 156405 in its East Midlands Trains colours with the blue background! Not every day do you see this combination turn up but there you go! 158889 and 156405 are seen here in these two shots as they arrive on platform 1B at Nottingham Station, with 158889 to continue forward to Norwich ans 156405 to detach and terminate here before going to Eastcroft sidings. In the end, this train was actually running late on this service.
