A nice upgrade from the usual five car class 222 on this slow stopper London St Pancras service, this HST set was on the 14:05 run, with a four car 222 in the form of 222102 working the 13:32 express service to London St Pancras as a result somewhat! Because of all the set swaps, the seat reservations didn't match up and for this one, the intended seat reservations were for the 13:32 London service and not the 14:05 London service! After all, what service usually has an eight car HST set? The express of course! A bit different here, however, as 43083 is seen departing from platform 6 at Nottingham Station with the 14:05 service to London St Pancras, calling at Beeston, Loughborough, Leicester, Market Harborough, Kettering, Wellingborough, Bedford and Luton Airport Parkway, with 43048 'TCB Miller MBE' on the rear. By the time this arrived into London St Pancras, this set was 19 minutes late, with the express service behind it, also formed of an HST, arriving five minutes late whilst in pursuit of this service! I'm glad the trains made it safely to London St Pancras on that note then!
