Nottingham City Transport 427 'HMS Sherwood' (12.09.2018)

What I do remember that on the first day of bio-gas ADL Enviro 400 CBG City operation on Bridgford Bus 6 is that some of the Bridgford Bus branded variants were swapped for silver spare variants for what I believe to be mileage. Even though the first day of operation is long well behind us, it seems that the silver spares do get out and about onto the 6 from time to time although one of the branded buses in the form of 401 hasn't been playing ball lately, so it is for that reason why silver spares have become more common on the 6 lately! I'd probably expect more this week but who knows what will happen next and that will be told in another story! Today's story is all about the silver spare bio-gas bus named after HMS Sherwood making it onto the 6 today, where a full days work was on the cards from start to finish! From the morning on, it was a case of it being right on the route from the word 'go' and, inevitably, continuing till the end of service before finally returning to Parliament Street depot for the night, which is the case with most of NCT's buses at the very least! In this shot here, 427 is seen here now at the bus stop outside Victoria Centre on Lower Parliament Street with a 6 to Edwalton.
