I suppose we can often refer one of these dogboxes as 'The Boat' given its nameplate, which is worn by 153376 and here, it and 153357 arrive at Nottingham Station before waiting time before then taking away the 13:49 service to Newark Castle, calling at Carlton, Lowdham, Fiskerton and Newark Castle. In the end, due to these dogboxes being allocated right here on Newark Castle/Matlock runs, a 156 was on cover duty for one of the services more usually in the hands of the 153's, which will eventually be illustrated.
