It's not always that a spare turns up on Melton Road apart from the Trent Bridge depot movements for the peak-time 9B and 5 workings dependent on if they head down here but a Solo SR spare saw use on the 5 proper today, as illustrated here. 345 heads on Melton Road with a 5 to City Loop.
