Locomotive Services Limited 47712 'Lady Diana Spencer'/57311 'The Institution of Mechanical Engineers' (16.08.2025)

Masquerading as 47709 'The Lord Provost' on one side and 47711 'Greyfriars Bobby' on the other, 47712 'Lady Diana Spencer' in its ScotRail livery and 57311 'The Institution of Mechanical Engineers' arrive in Nottingham with 'The Lakelander' from Carlisle before then heading off with the empty coaching stock to Toton Centre ahead of the next day's move to Crewe from there. In the end, the Nottingham-Preston and Preston-Nottingham legs were diesel hauled with the ScotRail liveried 47 plus the 57/3 in the company's black livery, which actually acted as the rear gunner throughout the whole tour, whilst the Preston-Carlisle and Carlisle-Preston legs were steam hauled by 60532 'Blue Peter' with 57002 'Winston Churchill' in the same black livery as the 57/3 tucked in behind as a result of a steam ban in place due to the hot weather. This tour was also to be seen running without the one dedicated mark II for this set due to it being declared unavailable for service with none of any of the Statesman Rail liveried variants declared available to cover for it for some reason.
