Nottingham City Transport 330 (31.01.2025)

Following on from an accident damaged 251, the sole 11 plate Solo SR spare left with NCT was dispatched to help out on the 70/71 for what was left of the day, as illustrated here. 330 is seen turning off the A60 Mansfield Road with the blind set for the next 70B to Bulwell.

With the new Bridgford Bus due in service soon, the branded MMC's plus both the short and long wheelbase spares are expected to move to other operators in due course although perhaps a surprise that the Bridgford Bus network is due to be the first to get the new electric buses considering the fact that they've got the relatively new MMC's that are newer than the Solo SR's, including the two spares for use on anything, such as this! 309 is seen on Upper Parliament Street with a 71 from Bulwell.

Taken well before an accident took hold involving this bus, this was being trialed on the route ahead of the branded type that are due to enter service soon. 251 is seen turning into Milton Street with a 70B to Bulwell.

525 is seen leaving Victoria Embankment on a 6 to Nottingham, running as an extra conveying Forest supporters from their home game.

The other orange bio-gas E400's out on the additonal services today were of the newer age, as illustrated here. 523 is seen leaving Victoria Embankment with a 6 to Nottingham.

All of the other bio-gas E400's out on the extra services today were orange ones and only one was formed of one of the older batch, as illustrated here. 446 is seen at Victoria Embankment with a 6 to Nottingham.

Less bio-gas is being used on Sundays now on the main routes with NCT, so there's always a chance on event days to see any color of them get used on the extra services and 493 in lime illustrates this as it leaves Victoria Embankment with a 6 to Nottingham conveying Forest supporters from the home match.

The red bio-gas Scanias don't see use on the 43/44 on Sundays and one of the batch saw use on the extra services for the Forest home game, as illustrated here. 414 is seen leaving Victoria Embankment with a 6 to Nottingham.

Now that CT4N have axed their eventlink, NCT have taken over the extra football services using any available bus operating as either 6's or 10's. 617, a Pathfinder 26 branded E400, now as the lilac line version, is seen leaving Victoria Embankment with an extra 6 to Nottingham.

On 20.11.2024, the new look Bridgford Bus are seen at TBG again, but this time all branded up whilst two of the older batch, soon to be replaced, are also seen in attendance amongst the various other diesel buses, most of which are also soon to be withdrawn from NCT once the electric bus operation starts to take further shape.

As I heard that new arrivals at TBG were incoming, I headed over to see what was what and I was greeted with the new look Bridgford Bus Yutong E10's, which are all seen at TBG, three void of any branding and one already branded up, awaiting their entry into service.

A move to the 40/41/42 for the green 11 braneed Yutong of 253 replacing the blue 40/41/42 branded one of 259 meant that one of the red Yutong E12's was dispatched onto the green route although in truth, this ended up on here due to issues with the green E10 originally. 201 is unusually seen outside TBG with an 11C to Holme Pierrepont.

907, one of the 61 plate OmniDekka spares, had been out on the 1 but this one of the South Notts branded E400's was declared available for service at lunchtime and so the buses were swapped at Victoria Embankment. 645 is seen on Loughborough Road with a 1 to Nottingham.

925, the other 61 plate OmniDekka spare, is seen arriving at County Hall on Loughborough Road with a 1 to Loughborough.

It's not always that the two OmniDekka spares are seen on the long distance South Notts 1 route but although it was to be the case today, with one on part-time and one on all day! 907 is seen on Remembrance Way with a 1 to Loughborough.

After a fair amount of OmniDekka use on the 1 when there were two E400's based at Trent Bridge after moving from PSG, an additional third moved over for predominant use on the 1, as illustrated here. 613 is seen on Loughborough Road with a 1 to Loughborough.
