Nottingham City Transport 624 'Robert Howard' (19.02.2026)

A strange allocation to the extra Uni 4's this morning was that of a Uni bus but in the form of one branded for the Uni 34 route, which usually serves the University of Nottingham at Highfields and not the Clifton or City campuses! 624 is seen on Meadows Way with a 4 to Nottingham Trent University's City Campus from their Clifton Campus.

Amongst the shake-ups on the 35/36 today after a collision with a tram from one of the usual bio-gas Scanias was the appearance of a Uni 34 branded E400, which started today out on the extras for the Uni 4 before then spending the late morning and the whole afternoon and evening back on its original haunts of the 35/36, a sight common during the holiday timetable for the Uni 34 but less so during the regular timetable. 624 is seen nearing journey's end in Nottingham with a 36 from Chilwell.

Nottingham City Transport 601 (19.02.2026)

For whatever reason, a spare almost always seems to be operating on the Uni 34 daily during their term timetable with one of their usual branded buses preferred to doing extra work most of the time as was the case today in part. 601 turns into Market Street with a 34 to University Park Campus.

Nottingham City Transport 503 (19.02.2026)

Even before the accident in Chilwell was there a bio-gas spare on the 35/36 and one of the pair of 69 plate variants too! 503 is seen stopping at Angel Row with a 36U to Chilwell via Queen's Medical Centre, University of Nottingham and Beeston.

An orange 35B... with an actual orange bio-gas!

523 is seen on Upper Parliament Street with the last of its booked morning extras, the 08:25 35B to Strelley. In the end, this bus spent the late afternoon and evening on the 35/36 effectively replacing the 18 plate branded bio-gas Scania of 450.

Trent Barton 713 (12.02.2026)

After being replaced by the purple MMC of 206 on the Indigo, this Mango Eclipse then went on to replace the green MMC of 117 on the Mainline, hence the requirement of a catch up with the spare. 713 is pictured on Friar Lane ready to do the next Mainline to Bingham.

Trent Barton 725 (12.02.2026)

On the other RV1 today was one of the B7RLE's that are often capable at running the route, hence their often regular appearances in the event of unavailable Solo SR's. 725 in the old red spare livery with Mango branding is seen in Radcliffe with an RV1 to Bingham.
