Nottingham City Transport 353 (30.03.2018)

Domino number seven here again as here is another shot of green spare Optare Solo SR 353, seen here in Carrington Street with a Bridgford Bus 7 service to City Loop, the blind presumably already reset ahead of its next journey to Gamston.
 Nottingham City Transport 353 (31.03.2018)

Domino number seven here and, although there was a Y reg plate Old Optare Solo in the form of 238 on Bridgford Bus 9, this green spare Optare Solo SR on Bridgford Bus was the one that stayed out on Bridgford Bus 7, I guess by virtue of it being a Saturday service for Good Friday, where, in this case, the 7 itself would usually get the main green spare bus. A bit of a sad end for Old Optare Solo lovers like me in the end as the most mundane bus type out there stayed out with the newer SR type! From what I saw on route numbers on Bridgford Bus, I will say fine then on this occasion for this bus staying out there just because it's on the 7 here for a Good Friday Saturday service and nothing else. After all, the 9 is usually not the place to find any main spare on Bridgford Bus during a Saturday service! In this shot here, 353 is seen in Central Avenue, West Bridgford with a 7 to Gamston.
Nottingham City Transport 360 (30.03.2018)

The number nine domino again here because the Y reg plate Old Optare Solo of 238 had been out on the 9 for Bridgford Bus but this Bridgford Bus branded Optare Solo SR in the form of 360 was available for service, so the buses were swapped in the end. 360 is seen here on Carrington Street woth a 9 to City Loop.
Nottingham City Transport 238 (30.03.2018)

The day after this shot was taken, I had an amazing idea when at Grandma's at Lime Tree Village in Dunchurch, Rugby to take some photos of the stuff she has, such as the dominoes, shapes and even the tiddly winks and all this because I seemed like it'd be a good idea to include them in my main bus shots. On each side of the domino, this being part of the Greyhound Brand pack, in the top here in this shot is a nine because, as here illustrates, that's the route number that this Y reg plate Old Optare Solo had started out on for Good Friday before a Bridgford Bus branded Optare Solo SR came on after. 238 is seen here having just crossed Trent Bridge on the A60 with a Bridgford Bus 9 servide to Wilford Hill.

Nottingham Station Trains and Trams (30.03.2018)

A Good Friday at Nottingham Station was on the cards for me today, where there was plenty of activity with both the trains and the trams. Some of the highlights included some 156/158 combos on the Liverpool services as well as former South West Trains unit 158889 in the new East Midlands Trains livery, a 158 on the Mansfield Woodhouse/Worksop runs, a four car 222 in the form of 222102 on the Lincoln/Leicester local stopping services, the Virgin Trains East Coast buffet car of 40751 in an East Midlands Trains set and three freight trains involving two class 60's, one on loaded tanks and one on empty tanks, and a class 66 on a coal train. Loads more stuff was included as well on both levels of the station, the low level for the trains and the high level for the trams, but those were just some of the highlights from today. A good Friday well spent I guess!

Nottingham Buses (29.03.2018)

Not only train and tram shots from today but some bus shots now here from today and the selection includes some spare buses, such as a green spare Y reg plate Old Optare Solo on green 11, two green spare ADL Enviro 200 buses, one on navy 3 and one on Bridgford Bus 9, a silver spare ADL Enviro 400 CBG City bio-gas bus on green 10 two red spare Scania Wright-Solar buses, one on the Rushcliffe Villager and one on the Skylink Express, two red spare Volvo Wright-Eclipse Urban buses, one on The Cotgrave and one on The Keyworth and an ADL Enviro 200 MMC on The Keyworth right at the end, which I think took over from a Keyworth branded Volvo Wright-Eclipse Urban to work the route.
