The Liverpool services over the last couple of days have been filled with workings that don't just involve double 158's as quite a fair amount of 156's have been operating with 158's (mostly!), so a sense of some more unusual workings here becoming common then! Mind you, no 158's were involved in any odd workings today away from the Liverpool services, so Liverpool was the place to see the oddities! In this shot here, 156401 is seen on platform 3C at Nottingham out of service having detached from a 158. On this one, the 158 would have continued forward to call at Grantham, Peterborough, Ely, Thetford and Norwich, with the 156 heading to Eastcroft sidings.
