As to how the most recent diversionary procedure works on the Bridgford Bus 9, then these shots will demonstrate as 238, a Y reg plate Old Optare Solo, leaves Highfield Road bus stop behind on Musters Road before pulling up at the traffic lights before then turning right onto Melton Road, taking a 9 to Wilford Hill in doing so. This bus was the one that bought me back from Nottingham Station.
Sometimes if I like to ride on buses I like, perhaps it's a case of riding my luck sometimes as when a bus swap occurs, that's when the plans have to change! I didn't need it today though as I successfully rode my luck for a ride on this Y reg plate Old Optare Solo. I'm guessing this probably spent the whole day out on 9's judging by how I saw things! This being an old bus here meant hard work was on the cards, especially with it being required to work the route all day! 238 is seen here arriving at Nottingham Station bus stop on Carrington Street to pick me up while on a Bridgford Bus 9 service to Wilford Hill.
Due to works on Melton Road at the junction of Musters Road, Bridgford Bus 9 services have had some hiccups with late running although I guess that's to be expected sometimes! 238, a Y reg plate Old Optare Solo, is seen here on Carrington Street with a 9 to City Loop.
An unfortunate shot with one of my fingers or the thumb on the lens here but in this one, we turn from new to old because a Y reg plate Old Optare Solo also saw use on Bridgford Bus 9 today, as highlighted here. 238 is seen here in Central Avenue, West Bridgford on a 9 to City Loop.
Two Optare Solos on Bridgford Bus 9 today but no could do for a ride on this green spare Optare Solo SR as it had to be the older Optare Solo today for the final bus ride of the day and that hands down... well a white down pointing backward hand will have to do here and this one with a black skin tone as well just to mix it up a bit! 👇🏿 352 rounds the bend on Meadows Way with a 9 to City Loop.
An interesting day on Bridgford Bus 9 saw two green spare buses and on this one, two Optare Solo types of two kinds, with a vintage Y reg plate Old Optare Solo on one of the services and this newer Optare Solo SR on the other! 342 heads on Bridgford Road with a 9 to Wilford Hill.
Well, the back of this bus has information illustrating what bus type it is so here is that type in the form of silver spare 430, powered by bio-gas, seen here leaving Nottingham Station bus stop behind on Carrington Street with a Bridgford Bus 6 service to Edwalton.
It seems that the Bridgford Bus 6 route is ending up with quite a lot of bio-gas silver spares, so perhaps no surprise that one of the silver spare ADL Enviro 400 CBG City buses ended up on there today! 430 is seen here on Carrington Street with a 6 to City Loop, the blind before being reset ahead of its next journey to Edwalton.
Well, who would have guessed that another silver spare ADL Enviro 400 CBG City would be on the 6 once again? Well, one certainly did and the last of the numerically ordered 17 plate silver spares was the one that was and that in the form of 430, seen here in these two shots on arrival and departure from the bus stop in Central Avenue, West Bridgford with a 6 to City Loop.
Here are some some shots, as seen from Nottingham Station on 31.08.2018, where we see no end to services by East Midlands Trains, Cross Country and Northern and also not to forget the freight too and that from DB Cargo UK and also not to mention Network Rail's Flying Banana with the yellow HST!
