The last outdoor six shots involving this Y reg plate Old Optare Solo on Bridgford Bus 5 also had to come from Melton Road and here, 237 heads down on Melton Road itself to stop at Mellors Road bus stop before continuing on with its journey on a severely late running 5 to City Loop and that before cancelling out its next run to Gamston because of the late running itself.
Melton Road just has to be the destination for the next set of shots involving this Y reg plate Old Optare Solo on Bridgford Bus 5. 237 leaves Mellors Road bus stop on Melton Road behind just after dropping me off there before heading up the hill towards Dovedale Road bus stop for another stop there while on a 5 to Gamston and a late running 5 at that.
Well then, this Bridgford Bus 5 service to Gamston with this Y reg plate Old Optare Solo wasn't cancelled out but the one later on was due to late running on numerous journeys, so good timing from me in getting this bus beforehand! 237 arrives at Victoria Centre bus stop on Lower Parliament Street to pick me up while on a 5 to Gamston.
Constant late running of the Bridgford Bus 5 involving this Y reg plate Old Optare Solo occured today and that similar actually perhaps albeit in part to the other Y reg plate Old Optare Solo on Bridgford Bus 7 as I saw that late running at least once or twice! This bus though was late running constantly for a while actually and here, 237 can be seen arriving in preparation for arrival at Victoria Centre bus stop on Lower Parliament Street before finally arriving there before then heading out on a late running 5 to Gamston.
The glass windows on the Y reg plate Old Optare Solos of 237 and 238 do prove a huge benefit for me as I can see out of them and inside the bus from the outside too! 237 is seen looking what I'd say is a better bus with its full glass windows now as it arrives and departs Victoria Centre bus stop on Lower Parliament Street with a Bridgford Bus 5 service to Gamston.
Two Y reg plate Old Optare Solos on Bridgford Bus means two nice finds and on differing routes as well! 237 spends the day on the 5, it seen here in Central Avenue, West Bridgford on a Gamston bound service in place of a Bridgford Bus branded Optare Solo SR.
Not a route you'd usually see a spare bus on a weekday but seeing this Y reg plate Old Optare Solo on Bridgford Bus 7 for a Friday proved to be an oddity for the service! 238 leaves Victoria Centre bus stop behind on Lower Paarliament Street with a 7 to Gamston.
While the Y reg Old Optare Solos of 237 and 238 now use Hannover displays, it perhaps makes the bus types look newer rather than older, as here illustrates with 238, it seen here at Victoria Centre bus stop on Lower Parliament Street before leaving and heading onto Upper Parliament Street as it takes away a Gamston bound Bridgford Bus 7 service.
The Y reg plate Old Optare Solos of 237 and 238 continue to ply trade with NCT and it's nice to see then in Easyrider blue now, which I think a now gone Optare Solo and a now gone Optare Excel had Easyrider blue on theirs albeit older than this current one! 238 is seen here leaving Victoria Centre bus stop behind on Lower Parliament Street before heading onto Upper Parliament Street with a 7 to Gamston. This bus was the one that bought me here from Central Avenue in West Bridgford.
A day to see the Y reg plate Old Optare Solos on Bridgford Bus was on the cards for me today as 237 and 238 were both out there and not only that, they were on the Gamston routes of the 5 and 7 respectively! Now I wonder what happened to the usual route 9 because that had only the Bridgford bus branded Optare Solo SR's after all that! Goodness me, no spares there whatsoever and no this isn't a joke here! To prove it's really true though, perhaps one such shot of a Y reg Solo can perhaps illustrate why as 238 is seen in Central Avenue in West Bridgford on a 7 to City Loop and unusually as well!
Because of the Y reg plate Old Optare Solos spending the day on the 5 and 7 for Bridgford Bus respectively, the 9 for Bridgford Bus had only the branded Optare Solo SR's and I might have to say unusually so for this one.... well perhaps so given the Y reg Solos being on the Gamston routes! 354 is seen here on Rectory Road in West Bridgford with a 9 to Wilford Hill.
As Nottingham City Transport supports its vision to be a cleaner city, expect to see quite a big chunk of ADL Enviro 400 CBG City bio-gas buses out there! 403, a 17 plate bio-gas bus branded up for Bridgford Bus, is seen now heading onto Bridgford Road in West Bridgford with a 6 to City Loop.
Proving it's not just the Optare Solo SR's that operate on the Bridgford Bus network, four 17 plate ADL Enviro 400 CBG City buses now ply trade on the 6 since replacing 08 plate Scania OmniDekkas, of which I wished 955 still had its heritage livery! In saying that, I wonder what a bio-gas bus would look like in heritage livery!?
