Nottingham City Transport 755 (31.10.2017)

The final orange bus in the book here and it goes to this orange 35 Scania OmniDekka. 755 is seen here out of service, presumably having just completed one of the extra turquoise 77's.
Nottingham City Transport 628 (31.10.2017)

Another orannge bus in the book here but the 'from' where 'from every 7 mins' is seems to be missing here! An incomplete front panel here then! 628 is seen here turning right onto Angel Row in Nottingham's Old Market Square with a 36 to Chilwell.
Nottingham City Transport 627 'Alice Levine' (31.10.2017)

This bus here is named after BBC Radio 1's Alice Levine and while she is the face of radio, she isn't at the back of this bus anymore as a Saint Property services advert has replaced it. 627 is seen here heading onto Angel Row in Nottingham's Old Market Square with a 36 to Chilwell.
Nottingham City Transport 626 (31.10.2017)

Another orange bus in the book here on Halloween, this time an ADL Enviro 200 for the 36. 626 is seen here turning right onto Angel Row in Nottingham's Old Market Square with a 36 to Chilwell.
Nottingham City Transport 955 (31.10.2017)

Seeming as it's Halloween today, I thought some orange buses would fit rather nicely, one as illustrated here. 955 is seen here heading onto Angel Row in Nottingham's Old Market Square with a 34 to Univerdity Park Campus.
Nottingham City Transport 238 (31.10.2017)

On Halloween, it is a day where it is usually people that go out trick or treating during the evening. As for me, though, while was hoping to ride on Scania OmniTown 207, this Old Optare Solo bus turned up instead! So was it a trick or treat? Well, it was a trick rather than a treat but I was just as pleased to ride on this bus after all as it was at least a very good chariot home! 238 is seen here arriving to pick me up at Victoria Centre on Upper Parliament Street with a 9 to Wilford Hill.
Nottingham City Transport 207 (31.10.2017)

Although two Scania OmniTowns started out on the 9, this one only ran part time before being swapped for one of the elderly Optare Solo buses. 207 is seen here heading onto Victoria Embankment with a 9 to Wilford Hill just as the lights change.
Nottingham City Transport 202 (31.10.2017)

Although two Scania OmniTowns started out on the 9, only one stayed out and it was this one that did. 202 is seen here after dropping me off at Fletcher Gate with a 9 to City Loop. Interestingly, both Scania OmniTowns had differences, with one in the form of 207 having the original seating and this one having recycled seats from a Scania OmniLink, while the liveries were similar but not quite the same, with the rainbow swoops on this one being newer than the other one and the white font on the left and right hand sides being bigger on this side than the other one. Notice the added use of the Nottingham City Transport on the top of the bus here.

Nottingham City Transport 238 (30.10.2017)

A change of route for the afternoon saw this green spare Old Optare Solo go onto the 9 to replace purple line 87/88 branded ADL Enviro 200 374 after coming off the 31, presumably due to one of their branded Optare Solo SR buses being available, possibly the one that was on the 9 for the morning before being replaced by new style spare ADL Enviro 200 385. 238 arrives to pick me up from Nottingham Station on Carrington Street with a 9 to Wilford Hill.
Nottingham City Transport 238 (30.10.2017)

Before moving to the 9 to replace a purple line 87/88 branded ADL Enviro 200, it was a morning on 31's as far as this Old Optare Solo spare was concerned, presumably before being replaced by a pink line 31 branded Optare Solo SR, possibly the one that was on the 9 before that was swapped for the new style spare ADL Enviro 200. 238 is seen here on Upper Parliament Street with a 31 to Jubilee Campus.
Nottingham City Transport 352 (30.10.2017)

Another find just after waling out of the post office during voluntary work with Duncan was this green spare Optare Solo SR on blue 41. 352 is seen here on Queen St in Nottingham City Centre with a 41 to St Ann's.
Nottingham City Transport 376 (30.10.2017)

While heading to the Post Office during the end of my voluntary work for Oxfam with Duncan, this green spare ADL Enviro 200 turned up on green 11, a route usually operated by Optare Solo SR buses. 376 is seen here on Upper Parliament Street with an 11 to Lady Bay.
Nottingham City Transport 385 (30.10.2017)

Well, it had to happen in the end, didn't it! Yes, a bus changeover on the 9! Pink Line 31 Optare Solo SR 350 had unusually been out for the morning on the 9 but, much to my annoyance, this spare came on for the afternoon, meaning I could no longer think pink! Mind you, a good spare here in the form of this new style spare liveried ADL Enviro 200! At least there is something to smile about! 385 is seen here heading onto Angel Row in Nottingham's Old Market Square with a 9 to Wilford Hill.
Nottingham City Transport 374 (30.10.2017)

Another nice find on Bridgford Bus 9 with this morning oddity consisting of this purple line branded 87/88 branded ADL Enviro 200. 374 is unusually seen here on Maid Marian Way woth a 9 to Wilford Hill.
Nottingham City Transport 350 (30.10.2017)

A morning of oddities on Bridgford Bus 9 consisted of a Purple Line 87/88 branded ADL Enviro 200 and this Pink Line 31 branded Optare Solo SR! 350 is unusually seen here on Rectory Road with a 9 to Wilford Hill.
East Midlands Trains 222104 (30.10.2017)

With a four car 222 on the Leicester/Lincoln local stoppers today, a photo was certainly required! 222104 is seen here at Nottingham with the 13:29 service to Lincoln Central. This train was the service from Leicester. It seems that on a certain day, a train like this gets used on this service sometimes compared to a bog standard 156 or 158.
GBRF 66705 'Golden Jubilee' (30.10.2017)

A nice surprise at Nottingham Station was this GBRF Class 66 on an intermodal set. 66705 is seen here at Nottingham Station before going through a crew change before departing with an intermodal set from Masborough F.D. to Felixtowe North GBRF.

Nottingham City Transport 426 (27.10.2017)

We've had all the single deck spares on Bridgford Bus, so how about a spare bio-gas bus to the additions? 426, a spare bio-gas Scania ADL Enviro 400 CBG City, is seen here in Central Avenue, West Bridgford with a 6 to City Loop.
Nottingham City Transport 238 (27.10.2017)

While both of the Y reg plate Optare Solos were allocated to Bridgford Bus, one was put to use on the 9, while this one was put to use on the 5, as here illustrates. 238 is seen here departing the Morrisons store in Gamston with the next 5 of the day to City Loop.
Nottingham City Tranaport 237 (27.10.2017)

Not one, but both of the Y reg plate Optare Solos were allocated to Bridgford Bus believe it or not! 237 was one of the two, seen here in Central Avenue, West Bridgford with a 9 to Wilford Hill.
Nottingham City Transport 385 (27.10.2017)

Next up is this new style spare ADL Enviro 200, which was allocated to the 9, as here illustrates. 385 is seen here in Central Avenue, West Bridgford with a 9 to City Loop.
Nottingham City Transport 352 (27.10.2017)

A total of five spares were on Bridgford Bus altogether this afternoon, with four single deck spares on, where three out of the four spare single deck vehicle types were out, the only type missing being the Scania OmniTown even though four spares were allocated, particularly because both the Y reg plate Old Optare Solo buses were allocated. As well as those, the new style spare ADL Enviro 200 was allocated (you can just see it in the background) along with this green spare Optare Solo SR. 352 is seen here in Central Avenue, West Bridgford with a 7 to Gamston. A rare working but a rather mundane one here as well. Also worth noting that a spare bio-gas Scania ADL Enviro 400 CBG City was on the 6 today.

Nottingham City Transport 238 (26.10.2017)

One thing becoming common on the single-decks of Bridgford Bus at the moment is the allocation of spare buses, and today was no exception, where it was the 9 that ended up with the spare as usual and today's was in the form of this y reg plate Old Optare Solo, as here illustrates. 238 is seen here turning right onto Angel Row in Nottingham's Old Market Square with a 9 to Wilford Hill in place of a 12 plate Bridgford Bus branded Optare Solo SR.
Nottingham City Transport 385 (26.10.2017)

Once again on the green line today, but unlike yesterday when it was on the 9, this time around saw it allocated to the 11, as here illustrates. 385 is seen here turning right onto Angel Row in Nottingham's Old Market Square with an 11 to Lady Bay. This new style spare ADL Enviro 200 effectively replaces Optare Solo Slimline 147 although it can actually now be found anywhere on the route and not just Sky Blue 46/47.
Nottingham City Transport 356 (26.10.2017)

A feature Bridgford Bus hasn't had before on their Optare Solo SR buses is the inclusion of side adverts...until now.

356 sports a side advert for the Italian restaurant of Amore's, restaurants located in Beeston and Gedling, while sitting at Angel Row with an 8 to Wilford Hill. Note the windows are not covered up here by the advert. Some of the branding on the side, however, has been removed. I think this bus wasn't running on 25.10.2017 as it was getting parts of its branding removed as well as being fitted with this side advert.
Nottingham City Transport 353 (26.10.2017)

A new rear advert for this green spare Optare Solo SR sees it advertising the Italian Restaurant of Amore's, restaurants located in Beeston and Gedling. I've got to admit that I like this new rear advert on this one even though its older advert I previously liked, it being for Rampant Ink, the award-winning Tattoo and body piercing studio based in Netherfield, has been removed. 353 is seen here showing off its new rear advert while heading onto Angel Row just before stopping at the bus stop in Nottingham's Old Market Square with an 11 to Lady Bay.
Nottingham City Transport 342 (26.10.2017)

Over on the 11, this green spare Optare Solo SR was on the route before being swapped for a branded green 11 variant, compared to the other two spares I saw on the route, so good a job I got this shot while I could! 342 is seen here on Angel Row with an 11 to Lady Bay, with a Bridgford Bus branded bio-gas Scania ADL Enviro 400 CBG City and an Orange 35 branded Scania OmniDekka also in view.

Wednesday, 25 October 2017

Here are shots of four Shipstone Street tram services I saw on 25.10.2017. Notice the odd tram out at the bottom here because it's the only Bombardier Incentro tram I saw on these services, the other three being newer Alstom Citadis trams.

Trent Barton 744 (25.10.2017)

A late shot here but a chance find here involving this Volvo Wright-Eclipse Urban on the Mainline. 744 is seen here heading off of Beastmarket Hill onto Angel Row in Nottingham's Old Market Square with a Mainline to Bingham.
Trent Barton 678 (26.10.2017)

A nice find on the Eighteen service was this Scania Wright-Solar. 678 is seen here on Beastmarket Hill before heading out on an Eighteen to Stapleford.
Nottingham City Transport 426 (25.10.2017)

Another spare bio-gas bus in use on the 6 was 426, seen here turning right onto Angel Row in Nottingham's Old Market Square with a 6 to Edwalton.
Nottingham City Transport 427 (25.10.2017)

Over on Bridgford Bus 6, while two branded bio-gas Scania ADL Enviro 400 CBG City buses changed hands, two spares were in use on there all day. 427 is seen here on Angel Row in Nottingham's Old Market Square with a 6 to Edwalton.
Nottingham City Transport 971 'Wayne Kidger' (25.10.2017)

Over on South Notts 1, this Scania OmniDekka in the Easyrider livery was put to use on there, 971, a former navy 48 Scania OmniDekka, is seen here on Beastmarket Hill in Nottingham's Old Market Square, terminating in before heading out on a 1 to Loughborough,
Nottingham City Transport 344 (25.10.2017)

We've had the new style spare ADL Enviro 200, so how about the new style spare Optare Solo SR? 344 is seen here on Beastmarket Hill in Nottingham's Old Market Square with a 3, waiting time before its next journey to Clifton.
Nottingham City Transport 385 (25.10.2017)

Alongside the Scania OmniTown of 207, this new style spare liveried ADL Enviro 200 was also in use on Bridgford Bus 9. 385 is seen here turning right onto Angel Row in Nottingham's Old Market Square with a 9 to Wilford Hill. Interestingly, the buses in use involved different buses with different liveries, this ADL Enviro 200 in the new style silver spare livery and Scania OmniTown 207 in the older green spare livery with rainbow swoops.
Nottingham City Transport 207 (25.10.2017)

Another day at the office for this bus on Bridgford Bus 9 here after working the route on 24.10.2017. After a day this time at Old Market Square, this bus even ended up being my chariot home again! 207 is seen here outside Debenham's in Nottingham's Old Market Square waiting for the lights to change while on a 9 to Wilford Hill.
Nottingham City Transport 965 (25.10.2017)

A chance find on the L64 involving this Optare Solo as it heads off Beastmarket Hill onto Angel Row in Nottingham's Old Market Sqaure with a service to Clifton.
Nottingham Community Transport 992 (25.10.2017)

A nice find on the L4 here involving this ex Trent Barton Centrelink Optare Solo. 992 is seen here heading onto Angel Row in Nottingham's Old Market Square with an L4 to Aspley.
Nottingham City Transport 974 (25.10.2017)

While this is now navy 49 branded, this Scania OmniDekka does seem to have the former Citylink 1 livery on the mirror, as here illustrates. 974 is seen here on Beastmarket Hill in Nottingham's Old Market Square, terminating in before heading out on a service to Boots Factory.
Nottingham City Transport 941 (25.10.2017)

Over on navy 49, one of the 07 plate silver spare Scania OmniDekka's was in use on the route, making for a nice change. 941 is seen here on Beastmarket Hill in Nottingham's Old Market Square, terminating in before heading out on its next journey to Boots Factory.
Nottingham City Transport 903 (25.10.2017)

A chance find on navy 48 was this Parliament Street based silver spare Optare OmniDekka. I can only assume this was helping out at Gotham depot for the day on here then! 903 is unusually seen here at Beastmarket Hill in Nottingham's Old Market Square, waiting time before heading on a journey to Clifton via The Meadows.
Nottingham City Transport 352 (25.10.2017)

A nice shot of this green spare Optare Solo SR here, showing its new snazzy Italian Amore's Reastaurant advert and I have to say that I very much like it! 352 is seen here on Beastmarket Hill in Nottingham's Old Market Square, having terminated in on a 3 from Clifton, the blind already set for its next journey to Clifton. In the end, I think this bus managed a morning on 3's before I think a navy 3 branded Optare Solo SR was available for service.

Nottingham City Transport 676 (25.10.2017)

Another shot of 676 here, this time on Orange 34 as it waits at the lights outside Debenhams in Nottingham's Old Market Square while working a service to University Park Campus.
Nottingham City Transport 676 (25.10.2017)

A nice addition to Nottingham City Transport's fleet is this Scania OmniDekka in the last trolleybus livery although now it celebrates 120 years serving Nottingham. I wonder what it will celebrate next year? We'll just have to wait and see. 676 is seen here just heading onto Angel Row out of service.
Nottingham City Transport 953/955 (25.10.2017)

It wasn't just green 6 and green 10 that swapped buses, but the orange 34 route also followed suit, as here illustrates. 953 and 955 are seen here on the 34 before changing hands. These two Scania OmniDekkas were former Bridgford Bus ones before being moved to the 34 due to the new gas buses coming onto the 6.

Nottingham City Transport 429/408 (25.10.2017)

Over on green 10, a bus swap occured here on Angel Row involving bio-gas Scania ADL Enviro 400 CBG City buses 429 and 408. 408 had been out on the 10, then 429 decided to come out to play on the route, hence the reason for the bus swap here. 429 is seen on Angel Row in Nottingham's Old Market Square ready to take up the rest of the day on 10's to/from Ruddington, with 402 behind wating to return to Parliament Street depot.
Nottingham City Transport 401/402 (25.10.2017)

With two silver spare bio-gas ADL Enviro 400 CBG City buses operating on the 6 today, it was a case of a branded bus swapping for a branded bus here. 402 had been out on the 6 for part of the morning before another branded bus was available for service, so these two were swapped round at Angel Row, as here illustrates. 401 and 402 are seen here at Angel Row in Nottingham's Old Market Square, 401 ready to take up the rest of the day on 6's to/from Edwalton, 402 ready for a move to Parliament Street depot.
