Nottingham City Transport 601 (10.05.2026)

A chance find on the 10 late on was that of a diesel E400 spare, as illustrated here. 601 is seen on Loughborough Road with a 10 to Ruddington. In the end, after being on the 68/69 all day, this bus got tasked with the late work on the 10 after replacing the only branded bio-gas Scania for it to be out on the road in the form of 406.

Nottingham City Transport 430 (10.05.2026)

Alongside the net spare allocation of the purple bio-gas Scania on the 10 was an actual spare allocation for the other spare allocation in the form of the 17 plate variant equipped with the camera mirrors, as illustrated here. 430 is seen on Upper Parliament Street with a 10C to Rushcliffe Country Park.

Nottingham City Transport 475 (10.05.2026)

Sunday misallocation...

475, a purple 87/88/89 branded bio-gas Scania, is seen heading towards Trent Bridge with a late running green line 10C to Nottingham. Upon arrival, this bus headed back for PSG after its last booked 10 to Ruddington was duplicated with the turquoise 77 branded variant of 516.

Nottingham City Transport 516 (10.05.2026)

Off route vice off route...

516, a turquoise 78/79 branded bio-gas Scania is seen on Loughborough Road with a 10 to Ruddington as it helps out for a late running purple 87/88/89 branded variant on the last diagram on this particular board.

With a new batch of electric Yutongs due with NCT this year, the bio-gas Scanias are going to start getting withdrawn with the cheaper to run diesel E400's staying for longer. 516 is pictured on Meadows Way with an additional football extra service to the City from Victoria Embankment.

Nottingham City Transport 535 (10.05.2026)

Right green, wrong shade!

535 is seen on Meadows Way running what appears to be an advertised 6 towards the City, it in reality being a football extra from Victoria Embankment.

Nottingham City Transport 506 (10.05.2026)

Because the diesel E400's operate quite a lot of services on Sundays due to them being cheaper to run, the bio-gas buses from various routes can often be seen helping out on additional services on Sundays when there's football taking place at the City Ground. 506, a yellow 68/69 branded example, is seen on Meadows Way as it carries the vast array of football fans from Victoria Embankment, calling at all stops by request on its short journey towards the City.

Nottingham City Transport 621 (10.05.2026)

The Uni branded E400's often spend their time on the 35/36 corridor on Sundays and, whilst two of them did just that today, this one spent its time on additional football work plus any following duplicate workings as required. 621 is seen on Meadows Way on an additional service to the City from Victoria Embankment.

Nottingham City Transport 626 (10.05.2026)

In the event of too late running from the usual single-decker allocations on Sunday football days, it's usually a case of using any type of bus from PSG to help keep the show on the road. 626, a Uni 34 branded E400, helps out on Bridgford Bus 9 as it heads on Bridgford Road on a service to Wilford Hill.

Nottingham City Transport 671 (10.05.2026).

The first football extra to be operated by a Streetdeck occurred today with a random Pathfinder allocation, as illustrated here. 671 is seen on Meadows Way with an additional service to the City from Victoria Embankment, it running as an advertised 6.

Nottingham City Transport 671 (10.05.2026)

History was made with NCT today when one of the new Pathfinder Streetdecks made an appearance on non-lilac work besides the grey line A2 school run and not only that, three services in total were covered and so I tasked myself in catching it on all of its workings. 671 is seen in Central Avenue, West Bridgford with an 8 to Wilford Hill, the bus running as a duplicate on the route.

Nottingham City Transport 671 (10.05.2026)

Pathfinder on the wrong Pathfinder...

671, one of the four Streetdecks branded for the Pathfinder 26 route, is unusually seen on Canal Street and Carrington Street with a Pathfinder 90 to Fernwood, a route usually operated by spare E400 deckers from Trent Bridge garage on football days and branded Solo SR's on all other days.

Nottingham City Transport 640 (10.05.2026)

Though a normal working for a decker on the 90, this E400 spare actually came back on after replacing one of the Pathfinder 26 branded Streetdecks, which had temporarily replaced this bus for a round trip at lunchtime. 640 is seen in Victoria Embankment with a 90 to Fernwood.

Nottingham City Transport 636 (10.05.2026)

A change on the 90 that 635 had been running was on order late in the day when its other spare counterpart replaced it, as illustrated here. 636 is seen on Radcliffe Road with a 90 from Fernwood.

Nottingham City Transport 635 (10.05.2026)

With Forest playing at home at the City Cround today combined with County cricket at the nearby Trent Bridge, deckers were put on the 90 to help provide extra capacity, mainly for those heading for the City Ground. 635 is seen on the shortest A road in the UK, the A6520 Radcliffe Road, with a 90 from Fernwood.

Nottingham City Transport 627 (04.05.2026)

The one non-silver spare on the 43/44 today was the 125th Anniversary liveried E400, as illustrated here. 627 is pictured on King Street with the blind set for the next 44 to Gedling.

Nottingham City Transport 633 (04.05.2026)

The days of bio-gas appearances on Sunday levels of service on the 43/44 have certainly been numbered on various occasions with diesel spares the preferred option on the network, usually in the form of one alongside the red E400's although today saw three diesel spares alongside a bio-gas one and two of the five red E400's. 633 is pictured outside Pryzm with a 44 from Gedling.
Nottingham City Transport 614 (04.05.2026)

It's a lottery as to what spares turn up on the 43/44 on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays but today saw both diesel and bio-gas in use on there albeit with mostly diesel on this occasion. 614 is pictured on King Street ready to start its first service of the day, a 43 to Bakersfield.

Nottingham City Transport 426 'Albert Ball VC' (04.05.2026)

Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays see the 43/44 interwork and is usually seen with the red 43 branded E400's on most of the boards but today saw four spares on cover duty, including this bio-gas Scania, as illustrated here. 426 is seen on King Street with the blind set for the next 44 to Gedling.

Kinchbus 347 (30.04.2026)

A rare find on other forms of Kinchbus duties was one of the duo of 25 plate MMC's on the 2/3/9 boards, as illustrated here. 347 is pictured in Loughborough in between journeys on the 9. In the end, this bus was replaced by the Yutong E12 of 3208 just under an hour before lunch.
