Royal Mail KM64 UCZ (31.07.2021)

An unusual looking Royal Mail Peugeot Boxer van in the form of KM64 UCZ sees it as pictured parked up on Burleigh Road and with both styles of rear lights on the back, the left being post facelift and the right being pre-facelift.

Nottingham City Transport 924 (31.07.2021)

To celebrate the reopening of Nottingham Castle, one of Nottingham's trams in the form of the Incentro of 214 now has advertising on both sides to promote it but as well as Nottingham Express Transit doing their bit, Nottingham City Transport have done their bit by giving this 61 plate OmniDekka spare an allover advert of its own, as illustrated here. 924 in the new style spare livery but with its new advert for Nottingham Castle over it is seen on Gordon Road with a Bridgford Bus 6 service to Nottingham.

Nottingham City Transport 923 (31.07.2021)

Also out on the green 10 route today was this 61 plate OmniDekka spare, as illustrated here. 923 is seen on Loughborough Road and Rugby Road with a 10 to Ruddington.

Nottingham City Transport 426 'Albert Ball VC' (31.07.2021)

A couple of spares were out on the green 10 route today, this 17 plate bio-gas spare being one of them. 426 is seen having just turned left from Rugby Road onto Loughborough Road with a 10 to City Loop.

Trent Barton 744 (31.07.2021)

Though The Keyworth usually tends to get covered by MMC's as and when required, the odd spare Volvo can crop up on occasion as well and today saw just that when this red spare was on vice a pink counterpart. 744 heads on Melton Road with The Keyworth to Nottingham.

Trent Barton 312

Following on from the black cat no longer being a branded route, a whole host of Optare Tempos were repainted for the Rushcliffe Mainline route while this was repainted into the new red spare livery, as illustrated. 312 is seen in Victoria Embankment with a Keyworth Connection service to Nottingham.

Trent Barton 264

Originally with Trent Barton as branded for Rainbow 4, then Skyline 199 followed on by Swift before then becoming a red spare with Wetherspoon branding, this Optare Excel then moved to Kinchbus with before then transferring back to Trent Barton where it was given the old branding on it despite the influx of the newer livery at the time and the displays have differed too, it starting out with paper displays before being replaced by LED displays before then being replaced by paper displays again before then being replaced by LED displays again. It's safe to say that this bus has been seen with different looks and displays then and this was based at Manvers Street before eventual withdrawal and it could be seen on routes such as the Keyworth Connection route, as illustrated here. 264 is seen on Melton Road with a Keyworth Connection to Keyworth. In the end, I think this bus took over from an 07 plate branded Optare Tempo in the form of 315 to work the route but I'm not too sure.

Trent Barton 444

Presumably on loan to Manvers Street at the time, 444, an Optare Solo in the old red spare Trent Barton livery, heads out of the old Broadmarsh Bus Station with a Keyworth Connection service to Keyworth.

Nottingham City Transport 604 (26.07.2021)

One of a perhaps unusual type of bus to find on any one of the double-decker green line routes is that if a diesel powered Enviro 400 and today saw one out on the 10, as illustrated here. 604 is now seen on Loughborough Road with a 10 to Ruddington.

Nottingham City Transport 604 (26.07.2021)

The other spare on the green 10 route today came in the form of this diesel powered Enviro 400, as illustrated here. 604 heads towards Trent Bridge on a 10 to City Loop.

Nottingham City Transport 430 (26.07.2021)

Same rear advert as 428 but a slightly newer 17 plate bio-gas spare and today saw it out on the green 10 route, as illustrated here. 430 is seen on Loughborough Road with a 10 to Ruddington.

Nottingham City Transport 428 (26.07.2021)

Complete in the new style spare livery, 428, a 17 plate bio-gas spare, heads towards Trent Bridge on a Bridgford Bus 6 service to City Loop.

Nottingham City Transport 428 (26.07.2021)

Now NCT operate a bigger number of bio-gas spares with the repaint of three 19 plates, expect to now see a wide array of bio-gas spares across the network from the 17 plates to the 18 plates to the recent 19 plates. 428, one of five 17 plates, is seen on Bridgford Road with a 6 to Edwalton.

Nottingham City Transport 428 (26.07.2021)

Seen having just entered West Bridgford, 428, a 17 plate bio-gas spare, starts to turn left onto Gordon Road with a Bridgford Bus 6 service to Edwalton.

Nottingham City Transport 426 'Albert Ball VC' (25.07.2021)

Although the return to bus travel should be coming for me hopefully before August is out, too bad that it's to eventually too little, too late for me to see diversions come into play on this route as at least one ride on diversion would have been nice again but a shot of a 17 plate bio-gas spare will suffice though, 426 to be exact, it seen heading up Melton Road with an off route 6 to Edwalton, the bus diverted due to overnight resurfacing works on Gordon Road.

Nottingham City Transport 426 'Albert Ball VC' (26.07.2021)

A couple of 17 plate bio-gas spares made their way out onto the 6 today and the spares were in the form of even numbered variations on this occasion when this and 428 came out to play. 426 is seen on Bridgford Road with a 6 to City Loop.

Nottingham City Transport 309 (26.07.2021)

Whenever on Bridgford's, the fact that this has the new style spare livery like 399 makes this Enviro 200 MMC easy to identify as whenever something silver like this pops up on Bridgford's, it's usually this bus that comes out. 309 is seen on Musters Road with a 9 to City Loop.

Nottingham City Transport 309 (26.07.2021)

The strange sight of an incorrect display on an MMC...

309 in the new style spare livery is seen on Bridgford Road with a Bridgford Bus 9 service to City Loop, not Wilford Hill as advertised...

Nottingham City Transport 309 (26.07.2021)

Now no longer masked up, it's nice to see the short wheelbase MMC spare back to its normal self and long may it continue I suppose!

309 is seen having just entered West Bridgford on a 9 to Wilford Hill.

Nottingham City Transport 345 (26.07.2021)

The other spare Solo SR on the green 11 route was 345, it seen on a right turn onto London Road from Radcliffe Road with a service to City Loop.

Nottingham City Transport 342 (26.07.2021)

Alongside the pink 30/31 Solo SR 336 on the 11 were two spare variations, this being one of them and all this with the green 11 branded variations of 331 and 334 off the road and with fellow branded sister 332 having ended up on the blue 40/41/42 for the evening peak!  342 is now seen on Radcliffe Road with an 11 to Lady Bay.

Nottingham City Transport 336 (26.07.2021)

Another oddity of sorts not far from home came with this pink 30/31 Solo SR on the green 11 route! 336 is seen on a right turn from Radcliffe Road onto London Road with an 11 to City Loop. Cheers to the driver for the wave on this one!

Nottingham City Transport 362 (26.07.2021)

A rare place to see oddities occur is on Melton Road and so I thought I'd get this yellow 70/71 Solo SR on here given the fact that it saw use on the 5 for a majority of the day. 362 heads on Melton Road with a 5 to Gamston.

Nottingham City Transport 362 (26.07.2021)

Considering the fact that Bridgford's tend to allocate spares as and when required, it makes sense to catch some oddities when any crop up as and when I can, such as this! 362, a yellow 70/71 Solo SR, heads on Bridgford Road with a 5 to Gamston.

Nottingham City Transport 362 (26.07.2021)

The Bridgford Bus 5 route never tends to get that many oddities but I got lucky and managed to catch one... somehow! 362, a yellow 70/71 branded Solo SR, unusually heads towards Trent Bridge on a 5 to City Loop.

Nottingham City Transport 387 (26.07.2021)

And that's another oddity on Bridgford's ticked off!

387, a sky blue 46/47 branded Enviro 200, is seen on Musters Road with a 9. In the end, this bus was terminated at Victoria Embankment on this run after the short wheelbase MMC spare was able to sign onto the route there after having earlier been on the blue 40/41/42 to begin with.

Nottingham City Transport 374 (26.07.2021)

The extra 9B proved to be a good shout for something random today as this purple 87/88 branded Enviro 200 was on it after having oddly spent the day on the 40/41/42 beforehand! 374 unusually heads on Musters Road with a 9B to Wilford Hill.
