Trent Barton 657 (30.11.2021)

As there's a Skylink Express allocation that does four journeys for the morning peak plus ten later on in the day after its break, spares are now the norm on this route whether it be on the forementioned allocated slot or not. 657, a Scania Wright-Solar in debranded Sixes livery, is seen having left Friar Lane on a Skylink Express service to East Midlands Airport.

Trent Barton 662 (30.11.2021)

109, a Mango spare liveried MMC, had been out on the Skylink Express route but the branded vehicle was available for service early in the morning, so the buses were swapped on Mount Street. 662 is seen on Beastmarket Hill having departed Friar Lane on a Skylink Express service to East Midlands Airport.

Trent Barton 625 (30.11.2021)

Formerly the Skylink Express under Scania Irizar i4 coach operation before being renamed to the Skylink Clifton route under Scania L94 Wright-Solar operation and now the Skylink Express name is of course back but with the same vehicles that the Skylink Clifton inherited. 625 is seen on Mount Street with a Skylink Express service to East Midlands Airport.

Trent Barton 663 (30.11.2021)

Presumably working in between Skylink Express runs was this branded Scania on a probable learner run of some variation, as illustrated here. 663 is seen on Upper Parliament Street on a route learner.

Nottingham City Transport 385 (29.11.2021)

Now the sky blue 46/47 are changed routes, the 63 plate Enviro 200 spare can be found anywhere on the midi-bus network, such as purples in this instance. 385 turns into Upper Parliament Street ready to do the next 88 to Top Valley.

Nottingham City Transport 377 (29.11.2021)

The first of the batch of 13 plate Enviros to receive the new style spare livery was 377 and today saw it out on purples, as illustrated here. 377 is seen on Upper Parliament Street ready to do the next 87 to Arnold.

Nottingham City Transport 376 (29.11.2021)

Now in the new style spare livery like its 13 plate spare sisters, 376, an Enviro 200, arrives on Upper Parliament Street ready to do the next 88 to Top Valley.

Nottingham City Transport 375 (29.11.2021)

All four of the short Enviro 200 spares were out on purples today, so I thought I would document them when they turned up! 375 is seen on Upper Parliament Street having just set off on an 87 to Arnold.

Nottingham City Transport 604 (29.11.2021)

With 635 moving from the green 10 to the lime 56/57/59 to replace the branded OmniDekka of 997, this non-USB powered Enviro 400 was its replacement on the green 10. I suppose it would have made more sense sticking this on the lime 56/57/59! Too bad NCT didn't do that! Well another Enviro 400 on the 10 gives me a tick in the book of sorts, 604 in this particular case, it seen arriving at Victoria Centre ready to do the next service to Ruddington.
Nottingham City Transport 635 (29.11.2021)

One such of the Enviro 400 fleet to feature USB power and I assume that all of the remaining ones are expected to be fitted with USB's in the near future, so ones to look out for on the inside as the months roll on perhaps!

635 heads away from Victoria Centre with a green 10 service to Ruddington with a yellow and blue Wind E-scooter following close behind.
Nottingham City Transport 635 (29.11.2021)

A perhaps unexpected bout of early snow came the way of Nottingham of late albeit nothing too problematic as a whole for my part of the world! As good as that was though was the sighting of an Enviro 400 on the green 10 route, as illustrated here. 635 arrives at Burnside Road with a 10 to City Loop.
Nottingham City Transport 430 (29.11.2021)

Either the diesel powered Enviro 400's or the bio-gas powered ones are what the Bridgford Bus 6 route has been getting of late and today saw a bio-gas one on the route, as illustrated here. 430 is seen on arrival at Victoria Centre ready to do the next 6 to Edwalton.
Nottingham City Transport 309 (29.11.2021)

Not the usual green route you would expect to find the short MMC spare on as this usually sees use on Bridgford's out of any of the green midi-bus network! Mind you, all of the MMC's for Bridgford's were out today but even despite that you wouldn't have expected something like this! It was what happened today though when this was out on the 11 in place of a Solo SR! 309 turns left onto Market Street fro
Nottingham City Transport 903 (29.11.2021)

Ones to get whilst you can, a majority of the OmniDekkas at the very least don't have much longer left in the fleet!

903 heads on Upper Parliament Street with the honors for a turquoise 79 service to Arnold.
Nottingham City Transport 988 (29.11.2021)

Not a completely original OmniDekkas as the front wheels on this were modernized or completely replaced prior to repaint into the new style spare livery. A tick in the book of sorts too gives me this on the 79, as illustrated here. 988 arrives at Victoria Centre with a 79 to Arnold.
Nottingham City Transport 601 (29.11.2021)

Italian change...

601, a new style spare ADL Enviro 400, passes by the former Frankie and Benny's New York Italian Restaurant and Bar that is now a soon to be opened Gusto Italian Restaurant and Bar with a turquoise 79 service to Arnold.

Nottingham City Transport 630 (29.11.2021)

Two different Enviro 400 spares were on where the usual 65 plate spares of 661 and 662 would be found, with 601 out on the 79 and this on the 78! 630 arrives at Victoria Centre on a 78 to Strelley.

Nottingham City Transport 603 (29.11.2021)

Alongside the 65 plate Enviro 400 spare on the turquoise 77 route was one of the 63 plate variations, as illustrated here. 603 is seen on Upper Parliament Street with a 77 to Strelley.

Nottingham City Transport 661 (29.11.2021)

Not where you would usually expect to find the 65 plate Enviro 400 spares but today saw this one on the usually bio-gas operated turquoise route of the 77, as illustrated here. 661 is seen on Upper Parliament Street with a 77 to Strelley.

Nottingham City Transport 662 (29.11.2021)

Both of the 65 plate Enviro 400 spares were away from their usual haunts today, both of which in favor of usually bio-gas operated routes! 662 is seen on Upper Parliament Street with a red 44 service to Gedling in place of the usual bio-gas Scania.

Nottingham City Transport 629 (29.11.2021)

A good day on the Enviro 200 front with the red 44 route as two spares were on the route, including this! 629 is seen turning right onto Upper Parliament Street having set off on a 44 to Gedling in place of the usual bio-gas Scania.

Thursday, 25 November 2021

Nottingham City Transport 476 (25.11.2021)

A change in the fleet has seen 980, 981, 982 and 983 already withdrawn and I assume the new bio-gas spares are to be eventual replacements for some of the OmniDekkas and perhaps a glimpse into the future for this route or maybe not! Only time will tell! 476 heads on Carrington Street with a 48 to Clifton via The Meadows.

Nottingham City Transport 476 (25.11.2021)

Before I set out for my piano lesson, a 19 plate bio-gas spare caught my eye on the 48, so I set out away from my original destination to intercept it and early as a result of it. 476 heads on Carrington Street with a 48 from Clifton.

Nottingham City Transport 430 (24.11.2021)

A late chance encounter was that of a 17 plate bio-gas spare on the navy 48 route! 430 is seen on Carrington Street with a 48 to Clifton via The Meadows.

Cross Country 221141 (24.11.2021)

Unlike all of Avanti's 221 Super Voyagers, Cross Country's variations all have their tilting mechanisms disabled due to them having been considered surplus to requirement. 221141, one of the four car Super Voyagers, rests at Nottingham before departing on an 11:07 service. This train would go as far as Birmingham New Street where it would then swap for two car Turbostar 170113 on the service to Cardiff Central before it would then go to Barton Under Needwood before coming back from there to form a service to Newcastle plus return.

Tuesday, 23 November 2021

Nottingham City Transport 376 (22.11.2021)

As the extra 5 was to be with of the Enviro 200 spares today, I set out to catch up with it. 376 heads on Melton Road with a 5 to Gamston.
