Nottinghamshire County Council 0050 (30.05.2025)

RX71 TNK seen ready to form the next 33 to Nottingham, it diverted away from the A52 and Cropwell Road due to gas works.

Nottinghamshire County Council 0050 (30.05.2025)

The minibus operated diagrams for the 33 have been the staple of Mellor Strata operation, mainly on weekdays to start with before the inclusion of weekends in 2024, since its takeover from CT4N but other minibuses have been making appearances now and again as was the case today with this newer Cityline Merc taking charge. 0050 (RX71 TNJ) takes the place of Mellor Strata 0099 (LO19 YYD) on the 33 as it waits to form the next service out to Radcliffe.

Nottinghamshire County Council 0049 'The Eco Traveler' (30.05.2025)

Due to the failure of the other 18 plate ECOnnect, this other example was sent out to replace it as a result. 0049 (LJ18 FGZ) is seen in West Bridgford with a 33 to Nottingham.

Nottingham City Transport 0048 'Eco Buzz' (30.05.2025)

LJ18 FGX seen in Gamston Morrisons awaiting a replacement bus having earlier failed on the 33.

Nottinghamshire County Council 0048 'Eco Buzz' (30.05.2025)

Despite the 510/511 moving over to CT4N operation, the pair of former branded ECOnnects still retain their branding for it at present despite now seeing use on the 33 as and when needed. 0048 (LJ18 FGX) is seen in West Bridgford with a 33 to Radcliffe, its next journey back to Radcliffe following this having terminated at Gamston Morrisons due to a bus fault.

Nottinghamshire County Council 0071 (30.05.2025)

After the move of the 510/511 over to CT4N, the 33 is now the sole Nottsbus ECOnnect route left, still continuing to run with its electric buses daily when available. 0071 (LG71 DGF) is seen leaving Nottingham on a 33 to Radcliffe.

Nottingham City Transport 639 (28.05.2025)

This extra board involving the 1, 1B and 48 has seen more navy spare action on it of late, today being no different. 639 is seen on Beastmarket Hill with the blind set for the next 1B to Clifton, a service which does run in the morning even on non-school term dates.

Nottingham City Transport 638 (28.05.2025)

The navy spares are starting to see a lot more use on the South Notts services when needed, thus eliminating the use of OmniDekka spares on it and, although today wasn't the case on this occasion, even so one of the usual navy spares was out on the 1 too, as illustrated here. 638 is seen on Beastmarket Hill with the blind set for the next 1 to Loughborough.

Nottingham City Transport 907 (28.05.2025)

Always nice to see NCT splitting the OmniDekka spares by putting them on different routes, today being no different with 925 out on the 4 and this out on the 1! 907 is seen heading towards Trent Bridge with a lengthy 1 from Loughborough.

Nottingham City Transport 925 (28.05.2025)

What previously started its life as a purple 89 branded OmniDekka soon changed as following the bio-gas introduction to the route, this was given the revised spare livery, as illustrated here. 925 is seen heading towards Trent Bridge on a 4 to City Campus.

Nottingham City Transport 640 (28.05.2025)

Aside from the navy spares, NCT currently have two generic spare E400's operating from Trent Bridge, with this being the long term resident there. 640 is seen on Upper Parliament Street with a 4 to City Campus.

Nottingham City Transport 637 (28.05.2025)

With the withdrawal of three of the Uni branded OmniDekkas due soon, the displaced E400's will effectively be their replacements at TBG although even so they've seen plenty of use at present! 637 is seen on Upper Parliament Street with a 4 to City Campus.

Nottingham City Transport 484 (28.05.2025)

This extra Uni duty has seen mostly E400 spares on it recently, so it was a nice change to see some bio-gas making an appearance, more so from a different route too! 484 branded for the 28/29.30 is seen heading in the opposite direction to normal on Upper Parliament Street with a 4 to City Campus.

Nottingham City Transport 601 (28.05.2025)

With a pink bio-gas on the 4 for the morning peak, this E400 spare spent its breakfast time on the 28 before later effectively being replaced by the branded vehicle. 601 is seen on Upper Parliament Street with a 28 to Bilborough. In the end, this bus not too soon later replaced the lime branded bio-gas Scania of 496 on the 59.

Trent Barton 821 (27.05.2025)

When first looking at what bright red spare was on The Two on bustimes, I assumed that it would be one of the ex-Keyworths but only to find out on the bus app that it was one of the ex-Threes Versas doing it and I almost nearly didn't snap this after forgetting that the route was still on diversion but only did I remember at the last second and a so a last second rush was needed in order for me to catch up with it. 821 is seen crossing the Maid Marian Way T Junction with a Two to Ilkeston and Cotmanhay. In the end, this bus replaced the branded Eclipse 3 of 779 on this route after being replaced on the My15 by the branded Versa of 807, thus even allowing the red spare Eclipse of 724 to stay out on the route... somehow!

Trent Barton 816 (27.05.2025)

The R1 tends to see a lot more appearances from the ex-Threes nowadays as and when needed, today being no exception! 816 is seen on Upper Parliament Street with a Rainbow One from Ripley.

Trent Barton 780 (27.05.2025)

As The Two now requires one less bus, one of the Eclipse 3's is now running around as a Mango spare and today saw it on something very unusual indeed, as illustrated here. 780 is seen outside Nottingham's Theatre Royal with a Rainbow One to Heanor.

Trent Barton 746 (27.05.2025)

Due to a branded bus swap on the R1 today, all of the main spare allocations made all day appearances on it, all of which were with different types of bus too! 746, a Volvo B7RLE Wright-Eclipse Urban in Mango, is seen on Upper Parliament Street with a Rainbow One from Ripley.

Trent Barton 327 (27.05.2025)

The R1 has been seemingly picking any form of spares as and when they need them for the route and although today was the case for it for the most part, one of the tinted Mango MMC's did make an appearance on it replacing the branded MMC of 160, so it wasn't without the mundane spare allocation on this occasion as a result. 327 is seen outside Nottingham's Theatre Royal with a Rainbow One to Ripley.

Nottingham City Transport 649 (27.05.2025)

Nottingham City Transport 659 (27.05.2025)

Despite being branded for the 78/79, these are also regulars on the 77 on Sundays and Bank Holidays due to the restricted use of bio-gas buses at present on Sunday service levels. 659 is seen on Lower Parliament Street with a 77 to Strelley.

Nottingham City Transport 517 (26.05.2025)

Now fully or mostly unadvertised at present, 517 is seen heading on Upper Parliament Street with a 77 to Strelley.

Nottingham City Transport 516 (26.05.2025)

The branded buses for the 77 don't normally see use on their route on Sunday levels of service but today saw two of them out on it on this occasion. 516 is seen on Lower Parliament Street with a 77 to Strelley.

Nottingham City Transport 427 'HMS Sherwood' (26.05.2025)

Though the 77 is technically a diesel route on Sunday levels of service, the bio-gas buses can and do make appearances on it and three were out on there today, with two branded for the route plus this spare doing the rounds. 427 is seen on Upper Parliament Street with a 77 to Strelley.

Nottingham City Transport 635 (26.05.2025)

After the red bio-gas came off the 43/44 circuit, this one of the diesel E400's spent the rest of the day helping out on it, as illustrated here. 635 is seen on Lower Parliament Street with a 43 to Bakersfield, the advertising on the now staff only bridge blocking any chances of high up shots, hence snaps not from up high, such as this.

Nottingham City Transport 502 (26.05.2025)

As is always the case, the 43/44 isn't out of spares entirely on Sunday levels of service due to a PVR of six buses requiring the use of at least one daily. 502 is seen entering the City with a 44 from Gedling, the blind set for its next run to Bakersfield on the 43.
