Freightliner 70009 (on hire to Colas Railfreight) (25.07.2025)

With the owner of the Lindsey Oil Refinery, Prax, having gone into administration recently, it remains to be seen how long oil operations will continue on for but today's one from the refinery was well worth the wait as Colas's hired in Freightliner loco was in charge, as illustrated here. 70009 is seen at Nottingham whilst also going through a driver change with the Lindsey Oil Refinery-Kingsbury Oil Sidings loaded oil tanks, running 85 minutes late at this point after an operating incident involving this train at Barnetby.

A lot of the 158's were out elsewhere, including on the Crewe/Newark Castle route, which is usually solid class 170 operation. 158856 leads 158857 into Nottingham with the delayed 11:55 service to Newark Castle from Crewe.
