Nottingham City Transport 428 (15.03.2026)

With its old bio-gas ads back, 428 rests at Victoria Centre prior to working the next 35 to Bulwell.

Nottingham City Transport 617 (15.03.2026)

No Uni buses were in use on the 35/36 today with the Sunday level of service seeing spares do some of the rounds. 617 is pictured at Victoria Centre ready to do the next 36 to Chilwell.

Nottingham City Transport 662 (15.03.2025)

528, one of the 22 plate orange bio-gas Scanias, had been out on the 36 for one run but in preparation for later on use on football extras and, as it turned out, Bridgford Bus dupes for the 7 and 9, this diesel E400 took over operations on the 35/36, as illustrated here. 662 is seen on Lower Parliament Street with a 36 to Chilwell.

Nottingham City Transport 660 (15.03.2026)

Although most of today's double decker yellow services were operated with bio-gas spares, there was one diesel E400 in attendance on there, it being the 65 plate celebrity spare, as illustrated here. 660 is seen at Victoria Centre ready to do the next 68 to Bulwell.
Nottingham City Transport 627 'Alice Levine' (15.03.2025)

The 78/79 hardly ever change buses on Sundays but one of the branded buses in the form of 656 eventually got swapped out on Maid Marian Way on this occasion and by something I perhaps wasn't expecting on it too! 627 is seen on Canal Street with a 78 to Strelley.

Nottingham City Transport 628 (15.03.2025)

Seen in Nottingham with a 58 from Arnold Killisick.

Nottingham City Transport 618 (15.03.2026)

Now that the Streetdecks are working on the 26, the four E400's that were branded up for it are now in the revised spare livery and operating on any double-decker route. 618 is seen turning into Victoria Centre with a 59 from Arnold Killisick, the blind set for the next 56 to Arnold Front Street.

Nottingham City Tramsport 631 (15.03.2026)

One app, one hand...

631 with its NCTX App advert is seen at Victoria Centre ready to do the next 28 to Bilbrough.

Nottingham City Transport 613 'Sheku Kanneh-Mason' (15.03.2026)

With its contactless missing, 613 waits to leave Victoria Centre on a 28 to Bilborough.

Nottingham City Transport 432 (15.03.2026)

With the single decker MMC's now elsewhere with other operators, the newest members of the Alexander Dennis fleet are the bio-gas Scanias and can be found on the Bridgford Bus 6, green 10, brown 15/16/17, lilac 24/25/26/27, pink 28, orange 35/36, red 44, lime 56/57/58/59, sky blue 60, yellow 68 and purple 87/88/89. Alongside the branded variations are 16 bio-gas spares, some after being given repaints and some as new from factory. 432, new as a spare, is pictured arriving at Victoria Centre with a 28 from Bilborough.

Nottingham City Transport 632 (15.03.2026)

All snaps outside the Victoria Centre are only possible from on the ground since the closure of the footbridge for staff only access combined with the advertising on the windows too but no matter where the snaps are, it's always nice to photograph any decent workings from on the ground, like this E400 on the 27 for example. 632 is seen on Lower Parliament Street with a 27 from Carlton.

Nottingham City Transport 629 (15.03.2026)

Now with a replacement rear LED display in silver/white, 629 works its way on Upper Parliament Street towards King Street with a 25 from Arnold.

Nottingham City Transport 620 (15.03.2026)

It's a case of mostly diesel spares on the bio-gas routes on Sundays now these days, as illustrated in this example with 620 as it comes to the end of its journey from Arnold on the 25, the bus pictured on Upper Parliament Street heading for the nearby King Street.

Nottingham City Transport 603 (15.03.2026)

25 with Pride...

603 in its Pride livery is seen on King Street ready to do the next 25 to Arnold.

Nottingham City Transport 492 (15.03.2026)

I always seem to prefer the 43/44 when bio-gas power is seen at least somewhere on the route because most spares produce diesel E400's these days with little to no variety at all alongside the red 43 examples. 492 is seen giving a boost to variety on the network today though as it waits for the lights to change on Upper Parliament Street with a 43 to Bakersfield.

Nottingham City Transport 431 (15.03.2026)

Whilst the 43/44 circuit now predominantly sees the 43 branded E400's in use on Sundays alongside at least one spare, bio-gas spares can and still do make appearances on the network as was the case when the network was completely spare operated on Sundays prior to the transfer over to the 63 plate red E400's. 431 is pictured outside Victoria Centre with a 43 from Bakersfield, the blind set for its next turn of duty, a 44 to Gedling.

Nottingham City Transport 638 (08.03.2026)

Sunday South Notts Uni...

638 branded for the Uni 4 route is unusually seen on Beastmarket Hill ready to do the next South Notts 1 to Loughborough.

Nottingham City Transport 636 (08.03.2026)

Starting short...

636 is pictured on Carrington Street at Nottingham Station ready to do a 1 to Loughborough, which, due to the 10K Run for All event taking place this morning, started here.

Nottingham City Transport 218 (08.03.2026)

Seen on Canal Street with a 48 from Clifton.

Nottingham City Transport 662 (08.03.2026)

Only one of the 65 plate E400 spares was out today and on something unusual for a Sunday too! 662 is pictured at Gamston Morrisons in between journeys on the 6.

Nottingham City Transport 476 (22.02.2026)

During the event that was taking place around the City Centre, green line services were terminating outside Nottingham Station before running around to do their next turns of duty. 476, one of the 19 plate bio-gas spares, is pictured turning into Canal Street from Carrington Street with a turn around move via the big roundabout linking the A60 prior to the next service to Gamston with the blind set for the next trip.

Nottingham City Transport 602 (08.03.2026)

As the 78/79 branded E400's also like to do the 77's on Sundays, appearances of spares on the 78/79 can and do crop up on occasion and 602 exemplifies this as it waits to depart from Upper Parliament Street with a 78 to Strelley.

Nottingham City Transport 477 (08.03.2026)

Due to the 10K Run for All event taking place, services were temporarily being diverted or terminated short and so a photo of a service not normally seen in the Old Market Square just had to be done! 477 is pictured on Beastmarket Hill having terminated off route with a 77 from Strelley.

Nottingham City Transport 502 (08.03.2026)

The other spare on the 43/44 network today was one of the duo of ex-yellow repaints, as illustrated here. 502 turns from Sneinton Dale into Dale Street with a City bound 43.

Nottingham City Transport 426 'Albert Ball VC' (08.03.2026)

The two main spares on the 43/44 today were both bio-gas powered, a sight less common on Sundays now because the network now usually sees the diesel E400 spares allocated. 426 is pictured on King Street ready to do the next 43 to Bakersfield.

Nottingham City Transport 611 (08.03.2026)

Considering the fact that I missed seeing this ex-red 43 branded E400 doing a singular run on the red 44, which it did after 607 branded for the 43 failed on the red 43/44 network, I was happy to see it out on the brown 15/16/17 network late on after the branded bio-gas Scania of 458 came off. 611 is pictured outside the Waitrose on Milton Street with the blind set for the next 16 to Rise Park.

Trent Barton 725 (03.03.2026)

Due to the gas works on the A52 having caused delays, this red spare Eclipse was sent to Manvers Street on loan from Derby for the long term and today saw it out on The Cotgrave, as illustrated here. 725 is pictured turning into Canal Street from Carrington Street with The Cotgrave from Cotgrave.

Trent Barton 741 (03.03.2026)

A lot of spares have been out on The Cotgrave lately but it's been all MMC for the most part although a break from the usual type today saw two Eclipses helping out on the route, with both buses in different color schemes too! 741 turns into Canal Street from Carrington Steet with The Cotgrave from Cotgrave.

Trent Barton 712 (03.03.2026)

All the delays on the Skylink Express caused by a van fire on the nearby M1 at East Midlands Airport wrecked the schedule in part with the branded Eclipse of 744, one which initially replaced the Mango MMC of 110 on its original slot, moving slot as a result to replace this Mango Eclipse, which was booked to have been replaced by the branded Eclipse of 743 minus the schedule going completely to pot! 712 is pictured on Canal Street about to enter Broadmarsh Bus Station with a Skylink Express to East Midlands Airport.

Trent Barton 146 (03.03.2026)

Whenever the usual red Solo SR spare isn't able to help out on the Rushcliffe Villager for example, that's when the bigger spares come into play, as exemplified here with 146, one of the new look Mango MMC's, it pictured on Carrington Street with a service to Bingham. In the end, this bus was later replaced by the branded Solo SR of 504 at lunchtime.

Trent Barton 146 (03.03.2026)

Due to 739, one of the trio of branded Eclipses on the Skylink Express, having failed just before lunch, one of the Mango MMC's was sent out to help on the route. 146 is pictured on Loughborough Road with a Skylink Express to Nottingham.

Trent Barton 110 (03.03.2026)

In between its Keyworth work, this Mango MMC was on the Skylink either side, the Nottingham route as a duplicate following the branded MMC of 120 running late, of which this bus was involved in on its duplicate service, and the Skylink Express prior to being replaced by the branded Eclipse of 744 albeit whilst on late running. 110 is pictured on Carrington Street with a late running Skylink Express from East Midlands Airport.
Trent Barton 110 (03.03.2026)

726, the only branded Eclipse for The Keyworth, had been out today but this Mango MMC took over from it before it came off to be taken over by what I believe was one of the MMC's, the Eclipse also coming back out to help through delays caused by a bridge strike near Tollerton on the A606. 110 is pictured on Loughborough Road with The Keyworth from Keyworth.

Trent Barton 147 (03.03.2026)

A chance encounter on The Keyworth late on was one of the MMC's in the newest Mango livery, as illustrated here. 147 is seen heading towards Trent Bridge with The Keyworth from Keyworth. In the end, after spending the day on the i4, this bus effectively replaced the Keyworth branded MMC of 103 on this route to make for something unusual on the evening bus, which usually sees the branded Keyworth buses allocated with spares not a common sight later on during the evenings, especially newly liveried Mango spares, hence the catch up of this spare on the route being required.
