While on half-term from college, I decided to take the opportunity to do some trainspotting and what a good opportunity it was today as lots turned up, such as this Virgin Trains East Coast buffet car in the consist of an East Midlands Trains set while on the London St Pancras fast services. 40751 is seen here at Nottingham Station while on hire to East Midlands Trains, the set itself resting between trips. This buffet car currently has the Virgin Trains East Coast interior but it currently retains the old circular lights at the end of the carriage where the white/grey open door is. I think most if not all of the mark III carriages that are either East Midlands Trains or former East Midlands Trains (now Virgin Trans East Coast) are being fitted with brighter lights, generally at the ends of each coach although I think the interiors will remain unrefurbished.
