Arriva Rail North 150126 (31.07.2019)

Nottingham City Transport 959 'Sean Upton' (29.07,2019)

Gas that's replaced non-bio-gas that's replaced gas! A Scania OmniDekka replacing an ADL Enviro 400 CBG City now although this is a spare, at which this non-bio-gas bus was to be found filling in for a Bridgford Bus branded bio-gas bus on the 6 for the day. 959 is seen on Gordon Road, then Trevor Road with a 6 to Edwalton. This bus was the one that bought me here from Nottingham Station and it was also the bus that bought me there from Nottingham's Old Market Square.

Out goes the older silver livery and in comes the newer silver livery! From rainbow swoops to new style, yet the Sean Upton name is still retained... well it will be until this bus is withdrawn anyway, so ho-hum! 959 arrives at Nottingham Station to pick me up while on a Bridgford Bus 6 service to Edwalton.
Nottingham City Transport 959 'Sean Upton' (29.07.2019)

Following on from the announcement that all pre-2010 double-decker buses are to be withdrawn, time is ticking on the remaining 08 plate Scania OmniDekkas as they will soon be moving on to new homes. All of the 07 plate variants are now withdrawn, leaving one of two 05 plates and the remaining 08 buses left for departure from NCT, including this new style spare right here, as here illustrates. 959 is seen here on Carrington Street with a Bridgford Bus 6 service to City Loop.

Catch the remaining 08 plate Scania OmniDekkas while you can as they are expected for withdrawal very soon!

959, a new style spare, is seen on Carrington Street with a Bridgford Bus 6 service to Edwalton.
Nottingham City Transport 959 'Sean Upton' (29.07.2019)

This may now be a rare working for this route but this new style spare Scania OmniDekka did make things interesting for the Bridgford Bus 6 as the bus was on the route that 08 plate branded variants for it before the 17 plate bio-gas ADL Enviro 400 CBG City buses branded for the new look 6 came out, so a taste of the old was to be on the cards, as here illustrates. 959 unusually covers for a Bridgford Bus branded bio-gas ADL Enviro 400 CBG City on the 6, it seen here in Nottingham's Old Market Square and on Angel Row as well with an Edwalton service.
Nottingham City Transport 431 (29.07.2019)

Hello smiley face! I guess it is better by bus to/from Nottingham, isn't it!

431, an 18 silver spare bio-gas ADL Enviro 400 CBG City, covers for a 17 plate Bridgford Bus branded counterpart on the 6, it seen here on Gordon Road with a City Loop service.
Nottingham City Transport 431 (29.07.2019)

Considering 426, 427, 428, 429, 430, this bus, 431, and 432 are the bio-gas ADL Enviro 400 CBG City spares in NCT's fleet, it does mean there are plenty of bio-gas spares for NCT to play with. 431 was allocated to a bio-gas route today in Bridgford Bus 6 (hurrah, what are the odds!) and here, the bus is seen on Carrington Street with an Edwalton service.
Nottingham City Transport 431 (29.07.2019)

An interesting day for Bridgford Bus 6 today in which a bio-gas spare and a non-bio-gas spare were filling in on two of the slots for the day. 431 was the ADL Enviro 400 CBG City allocation of choice for the route, it seen here in Central Avenue, West Bridgford on a 6 to City Loop.
DB Cargo UK 60044 'Dowlow' (29.07.2019)

As seen at Nottingham Station, DB Cargo's 60044 passes through with the Bescot Down Side-Boston Sleaford Sidings empty steel train.
DB Cargo UK 60063 (29.07.2019)

Most certainly not a scarlet red Ferrari here but I doubt Sebastien Vettel or Charles Leclerc would be able to nurse this load over to the finish line, that's for sure! 60063 would probably always be able to though as the loco is seen with a rake of empty blue VTG tanks from Kingsbury Oil Sidings-Humbrer Oil Refinery.
DB Cargo UK 60020 'The Willows' (29.07.2019)

Back in traffic here having been in Toton for a very long time actually is this DB Cargo UK class 60. In fact, it looks like The Wind in the Willows just returned... well it's actually The Willows but due to it being off freight workings, an opportunity to catch it hadn't arisen for a very long time... until now, so the jackpot has been hit here as in this one, 60020 is seen at Nottingham Station with a rake of loaded EWS grey and VTG brown tanks from Lindsey Oil Refinery-Kingsbury Oil Sidings.

East Midlands Trains 153321/156408/158846 (27.07.2019)

Three different classes on one single train here as East Midlands Trains blue unit 153321 leads another blue unit in 156408 along with a white unit in 158846 as they depart with the 13:45 service to Skegness.

Trent Barton 506 (26.07.2019)

Here is an interior shot of red spare Mango Optare Solo SR, the bus as seen on The Keyworth and, while the interior is nice in my own eyes, the back seats could do with a bit of a fix... well not all of them for me are in the best condition, as has been for years! Spruce up please maybe!?
Trent Barton 506 (26.07.2019)

The 09 plate branded Volvo Wright-Eclipse Urban buses for The Keyworth do seem to be pretty reliable most days given their age but one wasn't playing ball today, so it was up to this red spare Mango Optare Solo SR to keep the show on the road instead! 506 leaves Mellors Road bus stop behind on Melton Road before continuing on with The Keyworth to Keyworth whilst deputising for a 09 plate Keyworth branded Volvo Wright-Eclipse Urban.
