Nottingham City Transport 626 (03.02.2018)
Well then, just to prove that I rode on something that wasn't an Old Optare Solo today as well, here is Orange Line ADL Enviro 400 626 as it arrives to pick me up from Hillside bus stop while on a 36 to City, Victoria Centre. This bus was my chariot to its terminus point at City, Victoria Centre.
Trent Barton 506 (03.02.2018)
Well I wasn't quite able to get a perfect shot of the purple charity spare Volvo Wright-Eclipse Urban of 717 on the Skylink Express but I was able to get a good shot of this red spare Mango Optare Solo SR on the service, so at least I got something! 506 is seen here on Carrington Street with a Skylink Express to East Midlands Airport via the A453. I wish the pigeon in this shot had got out of the way because I would have got an even better one if it had!
Nottingham City Transport 412 'Greta' (03.02.2018)
Meet Greta the gas bus! She's a bio-gas bus reducing CO2 emissions and is one of the greener buses for the environment. 412, a red line 44 ADL Enviro 400 CBG City bio-gas bus, is seen here on Lower Parliament Street while on a 44 service. Too bad Greta the gas bus isn't named after a spare one in a way as this bus would be a good one to get out and about on gas routes other than red 44 if it was!
Nottingham City Transport 237/238 (03.02.2018)
Over on Bridgford Bus today, both the Y reg plate Old Optare Solos of 237 and 238 were on, with 237 on the 5 and 238 on the 7, so what better way than to just have a classic shot of these buses together then! It just turns out that these two buses were ones that I rode today! Lucky me! 237 and 238 are seen here side-by-side on Central Avenue in West Bridgford while on the 5 and 7 respectively in place of much newer 12 plate Bridgford Bus branded Optare Solo SRs. I think these buses are close to seventeen years service now! I might even say that these buses have been on Bridgford Bus quite a lot recently and today was obviously no exception! Also worth noting the 5 was running late at the time, hence the shot of these buses together.
Nottingham City Transport 375/366/358/237 (02.02.2018)
Now then, the 5, 8 and the 9 had an interesting day with buses swapping, so here are a selection of the buses seen and they include green spare ADL Enviro 200 375 (including morning only 8 working [also featuring reset blind for its first Wilford Hill run on the 9]), purple line ADL Enviro 200 366, Bridgford Bus Optare Solo SR 358 and Y reg plate Old Optare Solo 237. I'm guessing for the 8 that a Bridgford Bus branded Optare Solo SR started on the route before the green spare ADL Enviro 200 of 375 came on. I didn't manage to catch the bus that started on the 8 unfortunately but oh well. Six photos here is no mean feat!
Nottingham Express Transit 224 'Vicky McClure' (02.02.2018)
With a afternoon at Nottingham Station on the cards, a quick tram ride was required and it was one of the new Alstom Citadis Trams that turned up first. 224 is seen here arriving at Lace Market tram stop before picking me up while on a service for Clifton South.
DB Cargo UK 60007 'The Spirit Of Tom Kendell (02.02.2018)
Here is 60 'James Bond' (aka 60007) in the Switch On To Safety livery as it swaps drivers at Nottingham Station while working a tanker train from Kingsbury Oil Refinery-Humber Oil Refinery.
