Stagecoach East Midlands 26262 (01.06.2023)

On long-term lease from Hull, Mansfield's three E200 MMC's make for quite a rare addition to their fleet as before their transfer, Mansfield's line up as a whole never included these! Here though, 26262 is seen operating out of Mansfield as it arrives on a Pronto from Nottingham.

As two of Mansfield's MMC's are needed on the Sheffield services, the one not selected can be used on anything, as illustrated here. 26262 heads on Mansfield Road with a Pronto from Chesterfield to Nottingham.

Seen on Mansfield Road, 18426, a Dennis Trident Alexander AKX400 in the original Stagecoach Beachball color scheme, works a Pronto from Nottingham to Chesterfield via Mansfield.

Now that 17717 and 17730 have moved to Lincoln, only Mansfield's newer ALX400 Tridents remain although even these and the Presidents are set to be replaced by new E400 MMC's destined for Mansfield. 18426 is seen on the A60 in Mansfield having set off on a Pronto to Nottingham.

Before I could concentrate on 11278, two full Pronto trips were on the cards, more so because this ALX400 Trident and the branded MMC of 10973, which had been replaced by 11276 on the route after a slot swap between the 18 plate and this, had the forementioned slot swap, which was most helpful! 18426 is seen at Victoria Bus Station having come in on a Pronto from Mansfield (10973 from Chesterfield).

To replace the Scanias that Trent had operated when they had their share of the Pronto, four further branded MMC's were ordered for the route plus one spare for predominant use on the Pronto originally but for anything else as is more common nowadays compared to its first year or two in service... well except in this case here anyway as here we see 11278 leave Victoria Bus Station on a Pronto to Mansfield.

After a day in which no spares were on the Pronto, I managed to snap three on the route today... somehow, including, who else, but this! 11278, the Beachball 'Pronto', takes the 11:10 service to Chesterfield Coach Station via Mansfield Bus Station away from Nottingham Victoria Bus Station.
