Nottingham Station Trains and Trams (29.03.2018)

Good news and bad news here. The bad news is that as I was trainspotting at Nottingham on 29.03.2018, I discovered a train had broken down on the Midland Mainline between Bedford and Wellingborough affecting East Midlands Trains services on the London St Pancras/Corby/Nottingham/Sheffield route. The good news is that I was able to get some shots of the usual HST's and 222's during my time as well as most of the rest of the usual traction on both the railway and the tram line, Northern being the only acception due to strike action by RMT union members. Today's shots feature an EMT 156/158 combo on the 09:47 Liverpool Lime Street service, a 158 on the Mansfield Woodhouse/Worksop runs plus the return of EMT HST power car 43049 'Neville Hill' after being on short term loan to VTEC recently.

Nottingham City Transport 376 (28.03.2018)

One more shot here of green spare ADL Enviro 200 here, seen here in Central Avenie, West Bridgford on a Bridgford Bus 9 service to City Loop.
Nottingham City Transport 376 (28.03.2018)

After discovering reports of a bus swap involving green spare Optare Solo SR 353 and Bridgford Bus branded Optare Solo SR 360 on the 9, I got off this green spare ADL Enviro 200 on the same route here in Central Avenue, West Bridgford in preparation for a photo and to check for confirmation of the bus changeover, which was most definitely comfirmed in the end. For this green spare ADL Enviro 200 though, it got away scot-free and was I think able to continue on 9's to the end, so I'm glad it did! After all, in my eyes, the ADL Enviro 200 type should be allocated as the all day spare whenever two spares involving one part-time spare and one all day spare involving an ADL Enviro 200 type and an Optare Solo SR type are in use on Bridgford Bus 9! Because it was this bus that stayed out on Bridgford Bus 9, this gets the best spare of the day on Bridgford Bus! Congratulations! 376 is seen here at the bus stop in Central Avenue, West Bridgford just after dropping me off there while on a 9 to Wilford Hill.

Only one spare bus was in it today for my return ride today and it was this Bridgford Bus 9 here operated by this green spare ADL Enviro 200 for NCT that won out in the end! 376 is seen here arriving at Nottingham Station bus stop on Carrington Street to pick me up while on a 9 to Wilford Hill.

Still showing its Palmers advert, 376 is seen here leaving Nottingham Station bus stop on Carrington Street while on a Bridgford Bus 9 service to City Loop. This bus was my chariot to Nottingham Station this morning.

Now this green spare ADL Enviro 200 just has to be given the best green spare out there on the whole of Bridgford Bus because it's not an Optare Solo SR type at all! Today saw 376 on the 9 for Bridgford Bus and here, the bus is seen arriving at South Road bus stop on Musters Road to pick me up while on a service bound for City Loop.
Nottingham City Transport 360 (28.03.2018)

Now then, the green spare Optare Solo SR of 353 had been out on the Bridgford Bus 9 but this Bridgford Bus branded Optare Solo SR right here in the form of 360 was available for service roughly late afternoon or something like that, so the buses were swapped at Trent Bridge, Victoria Embankment bus stop at approximately 14:38, with 353 effectively terminating at Trent Bridge, Victoria Embankment and 360 continuing forward to City Loop. In this shot here, 360 is seen here approaching the bus stop at Central Avenue, West Bridgford on a 9 to Wilford Hill. There was also a green spare ADL Enviro 200 on Bridgford Bus 9 today but I am to believe that bus wasn't swapped at all for this one and, for me, rightly so and I must say that Nottingham City Transport chose the right spare bus to come off Bridgford Bus 9 to be replaced by this branded one. Definitely the correct decision for me as that was what I would have done if I had to choose which green spare bus comes off out of today's two on the 9!
