Nottingham City Transport 238 (31.07.2018)

With a green 11 branded Optare Solo SR on Bridgford Bus 9 along with a brown 15/16 ADL Enviro 200, I can only assume that spare buses were present on the routes instead. Green 11 did most certainly nick a spare from Trent Bridge depot and that was to be 238, a Y reg plate Old Optare Solo, seen here in Victoria Embankment on an 11 to Lady Bay in place of green 11 branded Optare Solo SR 334, which was covering the Bridgford Bus 9 services.
Nottingham City Transport 378 (31.07.2018)

Now I see this brown 15/16 ADL Enviro 200, I sense the smell of chocolate! After all, the bus is in a brown enough colour... well the bottom rear panel in the middle is dark brown but there you go! 378 is seen here on Musters Road before a right turn onto Eton Road with a Bridgford Bus 9 service to Wilford Hill, the bus just after dropping me off at Kingston Road bus stop. No diversions as of yet but I knew the 8 and 9 were on normal route today!
Nottingham City Transport 378 (31.07.2018)

Nottingham Network branding on some routes is actually still there like the brown 15/16 route, as illustrated here albeit with this ADL Enviro 200 for the route on Bridgford Bus 9. 378 is seen here arriving at Nottingham Station bus stop on Carrington Street to pick me up while on a 9 to Wilford Hill.
Nottingham City Transport 378 (31.07.2018)

I remember these originally being surplus to requirement on brown 15/16 following on from the introduction to longer ADL Enviro 200's but it turned out they were soon required back on the brown routes for use on there again... well one obviously wasn't required for use on brown 15/16 today as this ADL Enviro 200 saw use on the Bridgford Bus 9 instead! 378 is seen here on Carrington Street with a 9 to City Loop.
Nottingham City Transport 378 (31.07.2018)

Providing what I would consider to be today's biggest oddity for Bridgford Bus 9 was 378, a brown 15/16 branded ADL Enviro 200, the bus seen here on Bridgford Road with a 9 to Wilford Hill in place of the usual 12 plate Bridgford Bus branded Optare Solo SR.
Nottingham City Transport 334 (31.07.2018)

It's green but it's not right! At least it's on a green route albeit on Bridgford Bus 9 here! Well, I guess it's a surprise seeing this green 11 branded Optare Solo SR in the form of 334 on Bridgford Bus 9! It just goes to show that branded buses for different routes ARE allowed to escape elsewhere! Escaping elsewhere illustrates this shot perfectly as 334 is seen here on Bridgford Road with, not an 11, but a 9 to City Loop!

Nottingham City Transport 334 (31.07.2018)

The random bus allocator was certainly working today... well certainly for Bridgford Bus with two branded buses off route involving a brown 15/16 branded ADL Enviro 200 on Bridgford Bus 9 and this green 11 branded Optare Solo SR on the same route! Perhaps something not green would have been a better choice but never mind! 334 is unusually seen here arriving at Highfield Road bus stop on Rectory Road while on a 9 to City Loop in place of the usual 12 plate Bridgford Bus branded Optare Solo SR!
Nottingham City Transport 428 (31.07.2018)

One of the simplest spare bus allocations on Bridgford Bus here with this silver spare ADL Enviro 400 CBG City with Esteban seating interior on the bio-gas 6 route that uses these types with the exact same interior, so no surprise here then! Today's bus of choice for the 6 was 428, seen here in Victoria Embankment at the bus stop on a 6 to City Loop.
Nottingham Station Passenger Services (31.07.2018)

Here are some shots of the passenger services involving both the trains and trams, as seen from Nottingham Station in 31.07.2018, also including two dogboxes on Lincoln/Leicester runs, one involving a former GWR 153 and one involving a more standard East Midlands Trains 153, a 156/158 combo on the Liverpool-Nottingham and Norwich service and a former Grand Central Trains HST set with a newly refurbished standard class interior.
DB Cargo UK 66113 (31.07.2018)

Three sheds and a tug then in this one today, one 60 and three 66's, so not bad going on this one! In this shot here, 66113 is seen passing through Nottingham Station on a coal train from Humber International Terminal-Toton T.M.D.
DB Cargo UK 66144 (31.07.2018)

Not seen every day at Nottingham Station here is the Toton Up Sidings-Boston steel working as it's usually either Tuesday or Thursday or even both of those days that see this train run about. Today saw this EWS liveried 66 on it in the form of 66144, seen here passing Nottingham Station on the empty steel train from Toton Up Sidings-Boston. I might even say that there was a red DB Schenker liveried steel wagon in this set in an otherwise EWS liveried rake.
DB Cargo UK 66131 (31.07.2018)

Usually a class 60 here but today saw this DB Cargo UK red liveried class 66 in charge of the Kingsbury-Humber tanks while presumably deputising for a class 60. Maybe not what you were expecting here as it's a shed and not a tug! 66131 is seen at Nottingham Station before and after the driver change while working the empty blue tanks from Kingsbury Oil Sidings-Humber Oil Refinery. I do remember that this 66 was the one that did the Wolverhampton Steel Terminal-Immingham Sorting Sidings steel on the previous day to this.
DB Cargo UK 60091 'Barry Needham' (31.07.2018)

Following on from signalling problems the previous day to this, which meant some cancelled tanker services to/from Kingsbury Oil Sidings, things were generally back to normal today. As you'd expect, the Lindsey Oil Refinery-Kingsbury Oil Sidings tanks come first and as per the norm, it's a 60 in the form of 60091 named after Barry Needham, the tug seen here leaving Nottingham Station behind after a crew change to continue onto Kingsbury Oil Sidings with the loaded tanks.

Buses, Trains and Trams in and around Nottingham (30.07.2018)

No bus diversions here, so here are some more workings elsewhere across Nottingham's transport network, also including a former ScotRail class 158 with Northern, a Centrebus Optare Tempo branded up for the Grantham Into Town Bus Service on the 19 along with a plain liveried Wright-Commander, a Nottingham City Transport Scania OmniCity on navy 3 and loads more! The Scania OmniCity here is in the form of 518 actually and I found out the bus is surplus to requirement at Gotham, given the hopperbus services are soon to be taken over by Arriva, which is hence why 518 is now based at Trent Bridge, possibly for the first time ever if I am not to be mistaken!
