One of the more unusual routes to catch up with here on terms of spare buses on Bridgford Bus as the 5 is usually not the route to find spares on. Changes are afoot though for the 8 and 9 with diversions due to the Musters Road closure at the junction of Melton Road looming. This means Melton Road will not only be served by the 5 but also the 8 and 9, the 8 away from the City and the 9 toward the city, so watch this space I'd say as spare buses on Melton Road could become more common than usual... well whenever they are needed that is! Normal routes and normal service today though, so just the 5 serving Melton Road as per the norm and in this shot here, 342, a green spare Optare Solo SR, is seen here on arrival in Central Avenue, West Bridgford and then on departure from there as it turns right onto Rectory Road bound for Gamston on the 5.
