An often common sight around the Manchester area at the moment is the use of class 153's on the Liverpool services. Although the services are often headed by a 156 and a 158 but usually headed by a pair of 158's, it does seem strange seeing a 153 on the Liverpool service, especially if it's one from Great Western Railway, as illustrated here, with five shots here in this one of 153372 and 158788, also including the departure to Liverpool Lime Street. The 158 here would have come in from Norwich to couple up to the 153 before departure.
