Nottingham Express Transit 222 'Tim and Jean Jeffery' (17.03.2018)
Formerly named after Sam and Amy from Gem 106 East Midlands, this Alstom Citadis Tram was then named after Barbara White OBE, then it was named after Richard and Michelle Daniels and now it's been named after Tim and Jean Jeffery, two of Nottingham's unsung heroes.
Described as ‘special and extraordinary’, Tim and Jean Jeffery have fostered 200 children and young people, and they were guests of honour at the tram network’s Wilkinson Street depot on Friday 9th March 2018.
The kind-hearted couple were named NET Community Star Award winners in a competition organised in partnership with Nottingham Community and Voluntary Service (NCVS), and they’ve now witnessed the unveiling of their names on the side of a tram. Even the previous holders Richard and Michelle Daniels were at the event. A new name on a new tram as always and in fact a couple of new names as well in Tim and Jean Jeffery, which is nice!
In this shot here, the tram is seen here arriving at Nottingham Station on a service to Toton Lane from Hucknall.
