Nottingham Station Trains and Trams (20.07.2018)

Well then, another day at the office at Nottingham Station for me today, so here are some shots from the day there, where in this one, we see no end in sight to services by East Midlands Trains, Cross Country, Northern and Nottingham Express Transit. Freight is also seen here from DB Cargo UK. Highlights here include a four car 222 on the Lincoln/Leicester runs, the two 150's on the Leeds runs but in particular, the former Great Western Railway one, the six car foemer Grand Central (now East Midlands Trains) HST set and of course, the three freight trains and all that along with all four of the allover advertising Nottingham Express Transit Bombardier Incentro Trams, with the red Jet2 tram, the flourescent yellow big event tram, the multicoloured Just Eat tram and the Deliveroo tram all to be seen with the other standard Bombardier Incentro and Alstom Citadis Trams in their respective normal liveries.
Today was to be a very good day int he most part on both levels of the station today although some services were delayed and one East Midlands Trains London St Pancras service was cancelled due to the train for it having broken down although the engine was running on both power cars on arrival from the capital on that one. I guess the fault was spotted near its terminus at Nottingham, so I can only assume it went to Derby Etches Park on an ECS because of it. I was alerted to a tree fire near the lineside in the St Albans area affecting East Midlands Trains and Thameslink services today but I managed to capture lots today. Also, a road vehicle having struck a bridge on the Norwich route had at least one service to Liverpool South Parkway delayed today but it was mainly the tree fire in the St Albans area that alerted me beforehand this morning. Still lots caught today though, so there you go.
