Sonning Road Overbridge (24.07.2019)

Here are some shots, all as seen from Sonning Road Overbridge in Sonning Cutting, Berkshire and this from 24.07.2019, where services are seen by Great Western Railway, test runs by TFL rail, freight from DB Cargo UK and Freightliner and flights, with them being from one or two helicopters and aeroplanes to the usual jet planes from the likes of British Airways and so on and so forth.

Overall, a fantastic visit back here despite the loss of the HST's from this area but some GWR Turbos did turn up as well as the 345's for Crossrail and the DB 59 and Freightliner 66's, so it wasn't 387's or IET's all the way through and the flights overhead certainly made up for the HST loss on the rails too. A fantastic visit therefore and I think I shall return here again sometime.

Look out for:

Introduction to 802's on passenger services on this blog for the first time
800306 'Allan Leonard Lewis/Harold Day'
Other possible named IET's
166204 'Norman Topsom MBE'
A three car 165 and a two car 165 coupled together
One or two singular 387's to and from Reading
Crossrail 345's on test
Various flights overhead
