Due to most of the other red sets being not yet fit for service due to them being in poor condition, this is the only red set that is currently in service with East Midlands Railway. 43309 leads 43307 with the former LNER coaching stock as it terminates in on a service from London St Pancras before waiting time before then departing on the delayed 12:45 service. In the end, this set departed late due to waiting for a driver, the set itself consisting of 44091, 42154, 42150, 42146, 42091, 40748, 41150 and 41120.
