Two different trains in differing liveries feature here as class 180 'Adelante' 180111, previously operated by Hull Trains and now in the interim East Midlands Railway livery, waits to depart on platform 6A with the 13:12 service to London St Pancras as class 222 'Meridian' 222104, also previously operated by Hull Trains but also East Midlands Trains as well, arrives at Nottingham with a service from London St Pancras in place of a five car variation, the unit now sporting the full East Midlands Railway livery, which it gained since being repainted from its East Midlands Trains colours back in 2019. Worth noting that the 180's effectively replaced the 222/1's over at Hull Trains, it allowing the former Pioneers to move to East Midlands Trains. With the class 802 Hitachi 'Paragon' bi-mode units now operating with Hull Trains, the 180's can now be found residing with East Midlands Railway alongside the class 222's and they can also be found with their former Hull Trains predecessors, the 222/1's. Now HST operation is also over, the 180's will be acting as a stop gap as they operate alongside the 222's until the class 810 Hitachi 'Aurora' bi-mode units enter service in 2023, so expect the multiple diesel operation to continue for some time yet!
