After being replaced by the purple MMC of 202 on the Indigo, which was effectively replaced on its original slot by one of its branded counterparts in the form of a returning 215, this red spare Solo SR then temporarily did the RV1 before being re-swapped for the branded Solo SR of 505, after which it did the Skylink Nottingham replacing the branded MMC of 121, which later replaced the Mango MMC of 146 after the Mango MMC replaced 120, another one of the branded Skylink MMC's that went on to replace this red spare, the Mango of which then duplicated on The Cotgrave before replacing a failed green MMC on the Mainline in the form of 113. There was time for this red Solo SR spare to cover for late running on the Skylink Express from the red spare Eclipse of 727. Despite that though, I was happy to have seen it on the Skylink Nottingham, especially because my intended target of the Indigo failed miserably. 506 is pictured in Long Eaton with a Skylink to Nottingham from East Midlands Gateway.
