A chance find from today here in this one and East Midlands Trains do now usually operate using just the East Midlands Trains branded coaches and also buffet cars now. One of the buffet cars involving set NL04's 40749 wasn't playing ball today, so this Virgin Trains East Coast liveried buffet car for what is now London North Eastern Railway was inserted into the set instead, as here illustrates in these shots of the buffet car and as can be seen in these shots, everything remains the same and even the old light setup still remains at the end of the coach, which did used to have grey paint on it before it was then painted in white. If my timings were correct, I believe the set itself just might have done a 16:45 London St Pancras run, which is the one that also calls at Luton. Altough a spare buffet car here, a much needed appearance from it at long last!
