A Newark Castle/Matlock service not usually in the hands of anything but 153's somehow had a 156 on it today, as here illustrates. 156403 deputises for a pair of dogboxes and is seen arriving at Nottingham Station before departing on the 13:20 service to Matlock, calling at Beeston, Attenborough, Long Eaton, Derby, Duffield, Belper, Ambergate, Whatstandwell, Cromford, Matlock Bath (for Gullivers Kingdom Theme Park and Heights of Abraham) and Matlock.
