Though one spare was in use on Bridgford Bus 9 this time out, a winning allocation was what it proved to be, as here illustrates. 238, a Y reg plate Old Optare Solo, is one of the oldest buses still in use with NCT and advertises the new Easyrider cards in this allover blue advert and here, the bus is seen in numerous shots (also featuring an interior shot) as it spends the whole day on 9's to/from Wilford Hill. Though a Y reg, it is close enough to being a bus on a network that formerly used these bus types although W reg Solos were the buses of choice before NCT decided to purchase 12 plate Optare Solo SR types. They currently still remain as the buses of choice for Bridgford Bus in the main though they perhaps provide for more mundane workings now the W reg Solos are a distant memory, so perhaps it was refreshing to see a Y reg on the 9 today!
