East Midlands Railway 222104/222015 '175 Years of Derby's Railways' (19.08.2019)
More on the launch of East Midlands Railway as on the second day of the franchise, a new look class 222 was unveiled at Nottingham Station today in 222104, with a purple colour scheme. I will admit though that I didn't expect it! At least this gives me a tick in the book although it is actually technically vinyled! It will do though, so I guess that's good! 222104 is seen sporting the new East Midlands Railway as it waits to form the 12:12 London St Pancras service at Nottingham Station before taking the service away, with East Midlands Trains liveried unit 222015 leading proceedings. In the end, 222015 formed the front of this service, making this five coaches instead of the usual four as well as old and new liveries together. 222104's services today were this one here with 222015, a service to Corby from London St Pancras with 222015, a service to London St Pancras from Corby on its own and a service to Lincoln Central on its lonesome.
