Trent Barton 744 (09.09.2019)

Delivered mostly in 2009 to Trent Barton, these Volvo B7RLE Wright-Eclipse Urban buses were built in a similar design to the Scania L94 Wright-Solar buses. Unlike most of the Scania Wright-Solar types, these buses have mostly forward facing seats, big air conditioning units on top of the buses and big LED displays at the back. I believe 744 was new to The Two in 2009 and it was repainted in the red spare livery after newer Volvos came into service on The Two itself. This bus is based at Nottingham at the moment and it can be found covering any Nottingham based route, like The Cotgrave, as here illustrates. 744 is seen here on Carrington Street with The Cotgrave to Cotgrave. While NCT are withdrawing buses from 2009, Trent Barton's buses from 2009 look as though as they will be staying for the forseeable future, so mixed fortunes between the two companies but at least some buses from 2009 will be staying in the form of Trent Barton's Volvos, so it's not all that bad! I guess these buses are pretty reliable anyway, so I suppose that's good after all!
