With East Midlands Trains now long gone, it means that East Midlands Railway now have almost all of their current fleet branded up for the company, which is divided into two segments in EMR Intercity and EMR regional but it will soon become three when EMR electrics take over the Corby route using class 360 Desiros. Other additions to the fleet during the life of the franchise will be 9 156's from Greater Anglia, 28 class 170's from West Midlands Railway, 5 from Abellio ScotRail and 23 from West Midlands Trains and four class 180's from Hull Trains. For the HST and 222 fleet, new bi-mode class 804's will replace the existing stock although new eight car HST sets from LNER will replace the eight car HST sets inherited from East Midlands Trains imminently from next year and possibly along with the six car sets before the new bi-modes enter service from 2022. 43089 leads an eight car set inherited by East Midlands Trains away from Nottingham Station with a London St Pancras service although with the LNER buffet car of 40751, also former VTEC and EMT, in the consist.
