Nottingham Station (18.12.2019)
It can be said that I usually never get bored at Nottingham Station, especially because this was a long visit indeed from today and here are some shots from the day, where services are seen by East Midlands Railway, Cross Country, Northern, Nottingham Express Transit, freight from DB Cargo UK and various loco workings from Colas Railfreight.
Highlights include:
A 153/156 combo from Liverpool Lime Street
A 153/158 combo to Liverpool Lime Street
156/158 combos on Liverpool services
156406 in new East Midlands Railway white livery with purple doors
Poppy Meridian 222011
London North Eastern Railway buffet car 40751 in East Midlands Railway HST set
Two Northern 150/2's in new Northern livery, one of which seemingly drafted in on a working from Chesterfield to cover a part-cancelled run from Leeds, which in the event terminated at Sheffield
Various new Northern 195's
Two Colas Railfreight class 37's on a working from Derby R.T.C. Network Rail
A convoy involving two Colas Railfreight class 56's and a Colas Railfreight class 70 on a working from Crewe Bas Hall
In the end, during my time and outside of my time today, there were some cancellations, the 14:45 to Skegness being one such service to be cancelled completely due to an issue with the train crew. Not plain sailing then from today I guess but oh well!
